Chris Pratt is going to be great in this one I'm sure
 
It seems like an odd choice but I'm guessing it won't be mediocre. It's either going to be amazing or an amazing disaster.
 
I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and say this never gets off the ground.

I think Dredd has proven itself to be Box Office poison. You couldn't have asked for a better Dredd movie than 2012's version, and it tanked hard. I think it's a bit like "Punisher", in that for whatever reason, it just doesn't get the attention of the masses. It's true form is too nihilistic for the masses, and fucking with it just pisses people that are interested off.

I haven't read the comics so is it offensive because some defining characteristic of the character is being white or because Tessa Thompson doesn't fit the role for another reason?
 
How is another Dredd being made THAT NOT A SEQUEL THE URBAN DREDD. literally loved across tbe board but never got tbe sequel it should of. They had the blue print just use it

I don't think that following showed it with their money when it mattered. So you'll get something else now.

Honestly, unless they can do it like OG John Wick cheap, I don't think a sequel of the Urban Dredd would break even now.

And I liked the movie.

I want to see a Jeremy Saulnier version of Dredd.

It's crazy that it's been 13 years since the only good Judge Dredd movie came out. And it's even more crazy that there was never a sequel. Dredd's world is so colossally big. There are other Megacities and a world outside of Mega-City One.

Dredd, Strontium Dog, Armitage, Anderson, the Dark Judges...you could build a whole cinematic universe out of them without even touching on other 2000AD characters like Rogue Trooper.
