Did you feel ripped off by Sylvester Stallones Judge Dredd?

There's Judge Head but he takes the helmet off before the money shot

<1>
The fact there would be only one video might prove the point it’s just trash.
I mean they got what like a dozen punisher movies.

It was an abomination. I like Stallone but this was one of the worst castings I've seen, almost as bad as casting little pretty-boy Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher or tuneless Russell Crowe as Javert in Les Miserables

You think Arnold should have done it?

The Stallone Judge Dredd was great an in line with how action movies were made during the early 90's. The people who shit on it are the hardcore comic fans or the Stallone haters.

The Karl Urban Dredd was great as well and should have had some more movies after it. It was a gritty violent actionfest.

I wonder sometimes if people that speak fondly about the the Ovid aren’t in their head mixing parts of it up with Demolition Man. On occasion I have conflated them in my head, forgetting which one has Sandra Bullock, which has Rob Schneider and which has Bill Cobs. I’ll then go down this Mandela Effect rabbit hole where I remember Sandra Bullock being Judge Hershey and where Rob Schneider was one of the younger cops in Demolition Man.

Edit: apparently I’m mistaken about misremembering Rob Schneider being in Demolition Man. He’s in both movies which actually adds to the confusion :eek:

The Sylvester Dredd is in my ways closer to the source material. I am not going to say it is better but 2000 A.D. Dredd was about poking the holes at society with a critical eye and humor. The new Dredd is a better movie by far but it is incredibly dark and without humor compared to the comic. Demolition Man is more like the original Dredd comic than probably anything. Full of biting satire and commentary about society.
