I didnt say that. But if assaulting people for their beliefs/words/expression are acceptable then where are the lines drawn? I didnt say the guy was right... but her assaulting him... what did she want to happen? And if you condone assault one way then why object to the reverse.

I of course dont believe in hitting women in general but from her perspective... what does she expect to happen assaulting some random?

For myself obviously depends on the circumstances... if I have a crowd of people shoving me and threatening me and I have a beer mug in my hand I'm definitely using judgment on when I'm going upside some dude's head. Not a woman ... but some random dude may get it.

Of course it was excessive and I stated I don't believe in hitting women at all. He was wrong for hitting her period and I would consider punching a woman excessive even if she was punching him. If you read back through the thread I've already said as much several times and argued with Shadow over it. It was a crime and he was arrested.... what hand waving? Im saying..... from her perspective what did she expect to happen? What haven't I answered? Taco has defended peeps getting assaulted for their perspective including women. I dont agree. That is commendable and is how I was raised. Unfortunately that is not as much the case nowadays. I don’t like to deal in absolutes. There are certainly times when it might be warranted. In this situation if she would have had a knife or was hitting him with a weapon that could have done serious damage then maybe hitting her with the pitcher would be appropriate.

In this case the pitcher was excessive and could have caused serious injury. If the glass breaks wrong it could even have killed her or a man for that matter. That’s why appropriate use of force is important to understand.

As far as their actions goes. Telling him to get the F out of there is appropriate. Putting their hands on him is not.
