Caolan Loughran

Country - Ireland
Weight Class - Bantamweight
Age : 26
Promotion - Cage Warriors
Team - Team Kaobon
Record : 9-0

Jesus, I knew this dude was good but he really levelled up tonight. Going away from home to fight another hot prospect in Dylan Hazan in Italy and just absolutely trouncing him on his own turf.

Caolan is a pressure fighter who throws everything tight and hard and is stocky as fuck and with a low centre of gravity and looks like he'll be super hard to take down. With that in mind the dude is coming at you throwing hard combos to the head and body with accuracy and power with front kicks up the middle whenever you think about changing levels.

Beat the fuck out of a good fighter, did a lot of damage in the 1st and got him out of there in the 2nd and looked absolutely big league ready.

Haven't seen it yet but was Grundy in his corner? I get Loughran and Hughes mixed up a little but I believe Loughran is the one under Grundy who has the most impressive wrestling of the Irish and British prospects I seen.

So between "confirmed" and rumored that's like 37 fighters out of the 100 that will be on across 10 cards right?

I suppose. I don't know if the episode count has been confirmed yet. It isn't the same every season. But they do try to have 5 fights on each card

5 fights is 10 fighters, 10 cards so 100 usually. I'm just asking because there's a list of guys I'm most hopeful will be on I'm tracking. I know Kacper is hoping with a win over Akishev he will get signed to the UFC. Similarly Edil Esengulov if he beats Prikaza.

Tons of central asians go to Russia for work. Think like Mexicans going to America. Tons of illegal immigration as well
I was surprised that it’s like almost 100 % of mma fighters from Central Asia (I think Kakhramonov is like one who doesn’t said anything about having Russian connection and maybe Adashev).
Regarding Shavkat, Kazakhstani seemed to me to be an exception, like in Russia I saw nationalists using TUK (Tajikistan-Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan) term talking about workers and migration.
Mukhitdinov if I am not mistaken said that his uncle is general in Russian army. Muradov said that he is half-Tatar so he might have some relatives in Russia.

About Kabardiev - so I went to Nashe Delo social media. They had post about Kabardiev-Magomedov and even photo of their staredown. Then I found comment that final of Grand Prix is Kabardiev-Grozin (winner of Grozin-Heibati; and Magomedov would fight Kabardiev if Grozin-Heibati wouldn’t happen before June since final happens in June). Then they had Q&A with Grozin and when he was asked about finals he answered that he thinks they are happening in Autumn.
Kabardiev also said if I am not wrong a week or two ago that he still hasn’t started training after surgery.

So probably no Kabardiev on the contender series?

I wasn't paying too much attention to the corner. Heron was definitely there and they train at the same gym so he'll have been working with him either way.

He didn't wrestle offensively in this one though.

I watched the fight, he looked pretty good vs Hazan, Loughran is still young and cocky though, got hit more than he needed.

He mainly gets caught when he pulls back by shots coming over the top, if he pivots off a bit when he moves he can eliminate most of that imo. Guess it's a learning process

He was doing some other weird stuff, he looked good once he got going though. Do you know how old he is? I think 25 or so.

If I am not mistaken his manager said that it’s UFC who contacted him about Kabardiev and was interested. So maybe they just sign him without DWTNCS.

What’s your opinion about Khayal Dzhaniev? His next fight is in July in RCC according to him and he said that he holds in mind possibility of coming to UFC.

Don't think I've seen him, interesting kickboxing background but looks to have fought cans in MMA so far.

About others I haven't seen anything about Medvedev, Dorzhiev (seen that he moved to US with his goal being UFC), Gaziev.

Ignatiev - I've seen his manager back in Winter said that their goal is to get him visa and send him to DWTNCS

Khamzin is fighting this week and I've seen guy from RCC said that with the win he probably is next candidate to get signed to UFC but if not he is open to fight under another rules (for example kickboxing) and to signing with Asian promotions

Nurgozhay - said that he was offered to be a replacement on card in Brazil but said no because of short notice and I posted in another thread that his team are in talks about spot on DWTNCS

Idris - if I am not mistaken he said that he is going to US to train but also said that if he is not getting into UFC he is not gonna sit and waste his time waiting and might sign with other promotions

Losene Keita vs Jakub Tichota fight got posted hours ago, gonna drop it here.

Spoiler

I'd have considered throwing in the towel pretty early on, Tichota is a talented kid only 23, 5-1 pro with only a loss by split decision and a strong amateur background (14-5) competing in the IMMAFs. He probably shouldn't have been in there with Keita period, but after getting dropped 3 times in the first...just throw in the towel. The fact that after the first round he was so afraid of being hit by Keita, so afraid he wasn't just biting on ever feint but he fell over like 3 times without being hit just reacting to the punches in fear. He had to have been dropped 6 or 7 times and his face was busted up...for such a young fighter this loss could really ruin his entire career.

Keita has to get signed to another promotion, it's almost unethical for him to fight guys like Tichota and Sanikidze in Oktagon.

I posted in in the heavies but nobody responded if you wanna bump it lol.

Definitely agree Tichota's corner should have thrown the towel in.

Watching that live was even more crazy, it basically always looked like Tichota would get KO everytime Keita blitzed in.
Every time Tichota shot Keita sprawled the fuck out of him, definitely didn't look like a fair fight.
