Mueller's Patton the back (investigation thread v. 22)

Early suggestion for next thread, or a title change, "This is it, Ohr is it?"
Or, "One way Ohr another"

Or, "Patton Pending" -- my favorite but

Or, "Prince Ohr, the Pauper" -- this is the better pun imo.

Or, "If you don't stop it, you'll go blind" followed by, "Can I do it 'till I need glasses?" (70's drive in movie gems)

Turns out Mueller's problem getting a sit down with Trump is that he hasn't called Madeleine. Madeleine is the key. She’s the secret. Because she’s the person.

Wonder if I could land an interview with tRUmp by calling Madeleine

Cohn has really killed it:

Cohn, a Wall Street veteran, tried to tamp down Trump’s strident nationalism regarding trade. According to Woodward, Cohn “stole a letter off Trump’s desk” that the president was intending to sign to formally withdraw the United States from a trade agreement with South Korea. Cohn later told an associate that he removed the letter to protect national security and that Trump did not notice that it was missing.

Sounds like Woodward has his ducks all lined up to support his book. He even got a personal call from Trump and had a 10 minute conversation about the book, which he recorded and posted a transcript of. Trump can't even keep his story straight about knowing that Woodward wanted to meet with him for the book.

The scary wtf moment I gathered from this was on Trump wanting to pull troops out SK without getting anything from China. I’m also curious ot the time frame this order was taken off his desk. Was it during the bromance because if so dude almost made a bigly mistake.

(Reuters) - U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller will accept written answers from President Donald Trump on whether his campaign conspired with Russia to interfere in the 2016 U.S. election, but Mueller is not ruling out a follow-up interview on that issue, a person familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.

Mueller’s offer to accept written responses from Trump on questions about possible collusion was contained in a letter that Trump’s lawyers received on Friday, the person said.

The letter was first reported by the New York Times.

Trump’s legal team and Mueller’s investigators have been negotiating for months over whether Trump will be formally interviewed in the probe.

After receiving the written responses, Mueller’s investigators would decide on a next step, which could include an interview with Trump, the person said.

Can you perjure yourself in written testimony? I assume yes, but don't know for sure.

The way Trump speaks, hedging and contradicting himself constantly, a written answer would probably be much clearer. This would be good.

<WellThere>

Oh wait I forgot all these guys are secret derp state Democrat Marxists trying to turn Murka into Sweden.

No no no, you've got it all wrong. Bob Woodward apparently fabricated all of these quotes out of thin air. Because we all know when it comes to telling the truth, Donald Trump has a flawless record.

What I take from this, they must already have evidence that either implicates or exonerates tRUmp regarding conspiring with Russia. Evidence likely in form of emails and/or internal memos.

What this says they won't accept written to obstruction of justice

I agree. Anything that gets to Mueller will have gone through his lawyers as editors

[Dowd then explained to Mueller and Quarles why he was trying to keep the president from testifying: “I’m not going to sit there and let him look like an idiot. And you publish that transcript, because everything leaks in Washington, and the guys overseas are going to say, ‘I told you he was an idiot. I told you he was a goddamn dumbbell. What are we dealing with this idiot for?’ ”

“John, I understand,” Mueller replied, according to Woodward.

President cant answer Muellers questions in fear of displaying how inept he is. This is scary : (
