Giuliani said in an initial statement Friday that the probe into Manafort “has concluded with a plea having nothing to do with President Trump or the Trump campaign.”

“The reason: the President did nothing wrong and Paul Manafort will tell the truth,” the first statement read.

The president’s legal team reportedly issued a second statement shortly afterward that only said the “president did nothing wrong” and made no reference to Manafort’s potential statements.

There's a lot of stretching of the truth in this comment, but since many bots have come out of the woodwork I will just respond to the main thrust.

You ignored crucial context: I'm talking politics.

The anti-Trumpers in the mainstream media, the Democratic Party, Twitter, this thread, and elsewhere have been shouting about Russia-Trump "collusion" to influence the 2016 election for nearly two years. That's been their main critique, and they've set up a certain expectation (a "cloud") that Mueller will find election/Russia-related "dirt" on Trump.

Most of the electorate doesn't follow this stuff very closely. If Mueller fails to nail Trump for "collusion", this will give those on the fence about Trump a reason to hop aboard the Trump train and will thereby give Trump a political boost.

Of course, you might think that Trump will be taken down in the meantime on some other line of inquiry. I doubt it.

What truth did I stretch? Everything I posted we know as a fact. I know in the world you live in you're allowed to draft your own facts .But back in reality alternative facts don't exist .

Well at least you're less hysterical and more open than many of the people here. Because of this, we are able to locate our area of disagreement.

My prediction is that Trump will come out of this in good shape. The Mueller investigation will end. The bots who inhabit this thread will find some scraps to collect and will try to cook a feast out of it. Trump will not be indicted. Trump will not be convicted. Trump will not be removed from office. Trump will not be an unindicted co-conspirator on any "Russia conspiracy to influence the 2016 election" charges.
