Mueller's Patton the back (investigation thread v. 22)

You think Manafort is likely to give Mueller information that implicates Trump in "Russian collusion". I think that's exceedingly unlikely.

Therefore, this plea agreement means that the Manafort situation will mostly be out of the news by November. That's good for the Republicans.

Next time, respond to me directly. No need to hide.
yes its almost impossible to fathom (unless your a nit) that Muller would let him off the hook and not continue to try and break him if the cooperation agreement did not involve full disclosure on all things Trump. You have to assume Muller just wanted to be nice to him and Trump to accept your version and none of us are dumb enough (outside you) to do that.

BTW should we predict your position on Manafort and his info once he starts to sing?

<Fedor23>

Now Muller has all he needs to impeach President Manafort!

Wait.......

<TheDonald>

It's the same bullshit as with Cohen. He's cooperating on things not related to Trump when you read between the lines. Another man bullied into a deal with the full might of the federal government and financial ruin to get a headline for Mueller and the Democrats he works for.

Obvious witch hunt is obvious.

Besides all the people around the president's campaign pleading guilty.

You're not understanding.

I do not believe that Trump conspired with Putin to influence the 2016 election.

Therefore, Manafort will not have any information to give to Weissman about Trump conspiring to influence the 2016 election. Therefore, the only way Trump could be exposed in the "conspiracy to influence election" direction is if Manafort "composes" a tune to give to Weissman. In my estimation, Manafort is of stronger constitution than Cohen and won't compose.

No. He pleaded not guilty to 18 tax and bank charges in the first trial. He was found guilty on 8/18. He has now pleaded guilty to two of seven charges (obstruction of justice and conspiracy). As part of his plea and to secure the conspiracy conviction, he will admit parts of the allegations contained in the remaining 5/7 charges. That is not the same as pleading guilty to those extra charges.

That's not what I said. I said nothing about coercion. I said it was in Cohen's best interest to plead guilty to the two minor campaign finance violations even if he thinks he's innocent of them. The potential fraud/tax charges he probably avoided by doing so would have carried a lot more jail time.

No, you're mixing up Manafort and Cohen again.

I don't dismiss it. Manafort didn't pay his taxes. Now he will pay the price. This is not surprising to anybody.

...

I was only speaking of the 8 and yes he was convicted on all 8. And in the new deal he will be pleading guilty to 2 of them with the prosecutors dropping or not pursuing the other 6 but he will be admitting to them.

And yes you suggested confessions were not proof of guilt because of the pressure or coercion that can be applied by the prosecutor. You suggested a conviction was needed to ensure guilt.

then when Manafort was convicted you stated that does not mean he is guilty and you cited an instance where someone was wrongly convicted to say 'see convictions can be wrong'.

Therefore you set up a scenario that whether Trump cronies confess or are convicted you will dismiss it meaningless. Now you have Manafort both convicted and confessing so I am sure that makes him doubly innocent to you. troll on brother.

I finally figured out why Dershowitz is Trumps biggest defender. They both have connections to Epstein AKA the owner of the Lolita Express. Dershowitz shows up on a bunch of flight logs.

I understand just fine. I just don't care for your trolling. You are already creating a false narrative that assumes Trump can never be guilty and anyone saying so has to be composing. You leave no room, no matter how many confess or get convicted for them to be honest and only the great orange leader is honest in your view.

You can cuddle to yourself to sleep believing that if that is what you need but know that few see you as anything more than a troll on this topic.

shocking.... Just like Clinton's staff's all getting immunity
