Stranger Things star David Harbour is joining Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow, Marvel’s stand-alone feature on the Avengers spy turned superheroine.

The movie is casting up as it heads toward a June production start in London and recently added rising actress Florence Pugh to the call sheet.

Cate Shortland, the Australian filmmaker behind the 2012 Nazi drama Lore, is directing the project, which has a script by Jac Schaeffer.

Plot details are being kept behind the Iron Curtain, but it will be an internationally set story centering on Natasha Romanoff, a spy and assassin who grew up being trained by the KGB before breaking from its grasp and becoming an agent of SHIELD and Avenger.

Harbour is in the midst of having a Hollywood moment. The actor toplines Lionsgate’s comic book-based Hellboy, which is set to open April 12, and recently wrapped a turn opposite Chris Hemsworth in the action thriller Dhaka. He also will return in July for season three of Netflix's Stranger Things, in which he plays sheriff Jim Hopper, the breakout and fan-favorite role that has garnered him Emmy and Golden Globe nominations as well as a SAG Award win.

New Images from TERMINATOR: DARK FATE Reveal New Look at Arnold Schwarzenegger

The official synopsis for Terminator: Dark Fate reads: "Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (T-800) return in their iconic roles in Terminator: Dark Fate, directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and produced by visionary filmmaker James Cameron and David Ellison. Following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator: Dark Fate also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta."

IGN recently spoke to director Tim Miller to discuss the upcoming Terminator movie. While there have been several Terminator films that have attempted to carry on the iconic franchise's legacy released in the past decade, Miller said it was Hamilton's return as Sarah Connor that "made it all click for me" in Dark Fate.

"What makes or breaks a movie is whether I care about the characters when everything starts exploding. I’m sure every action filmmaker says that, but I did really try and focus on the relationships of these characters to one another. And the fact that Linda came back makes this particular Terminator fresh, this story could only continue with her in the role of Sarah Conner. That’s the most important thing for me," said Miller. "Linda reinvented this character in a way that both honors who she was before and brings something new to the role."

But it's not just Hamilton who brings a fresh take on this Terminator sequel. Miller also praised new stars Mackenzie Davis, who plays Grace, and Natalia Reyes, who plays Dani Ramos, for bringing reinvigorated energy to the beloved James Cameron-produced series.

"Mackenzie is fantastic, I think people are going to be amazed by what a bada** she is. And Natalia is wonderful -- when you read the script you might think, ‘Oh, she’s not a warrior or a soldier or anything exciting like that,’ or worry perhaps that she might be overshadowed by the other four -- but absolutely not. She’s amazing, a-ma-zing," said Miller.

"Because so much of the film takes place on the messy fringes of society, I wanted to bring an indie film sensibility to an action plot in a way that I don’t think I’ve seen before... at least not on a big budget scale," he continued. "We have a lot of powerful, moving character moments up front, but toward the back half of the movie, when s**t gets going.... holy f**king s**t —it just doesn’t stop. And we tried very hard to make it all different and fresh -- it’s not just people punching each other; it’s a roller coaster ride and I think great.”

Terminator: Dark Fate is produced by James Cameron and David Ellison and hits theaters on November 1, 2019.

Kumail Nanjiani in Talks to Join Angelina Jolie in Marvel's THE ETERNALS

Kumail Nanjiani is the latest to go Marvel. The comedian and Oscar nominee is in negotiations to star alongside Angelina Jolie in The Eternals, one of two features that Marvel is prepping to shoot this year.

Chloe Zhao is directing the superhero adventure project, based on the 1976 comic book series created by Jack Kirby. The heroes got a dusting off in the 2000s by author Neil Gaiman. The project features the superpowered and near-immortal beings known as Eternals and a more monstrous offshoot known as the Deviants that were created by cosmic beings known as Celestials.

Jolie is understood to be playing the character named Sersi, a more outgoing Eternal who has not been afraid to move amongst humankind. Nanjiani’s character details were hidden in the sands of time.

Nanjiani, who earned an Oscar nomination for co-writing The Big Sick with wife Emily Gordon, is hitting a busy time period. On the TV side, he stars in the first Twilight Zone episode from CBS All-Access and exec producer Jordan Peele. On the movie side, he will be seen in Sony’s Men in Black: International, which is set to open June 14, and then stars with Dave Bautista in the action comedy Stuber, which Disney/Fox will open July 12.

Idris Elba No Longer Playing Deadshot But a Different Character in THE SUICIDE SQUAD;

Viola Davis to Reprise Amanda Waller Role and Harley Quinn Expected to Return

uyMc6C9.jpg

Though the next installment in the “Suicide Squad” franchise is moving full-steam ahead with the addition of Idris Elba to the team, the movie will now move forward without one of its main characters.

Though it was previously reported that Elba would be replacing Will Smith as Deadshotin the new pic, sources now tell Variety that all parties including director James Gunn have decided to move on from the Deadshot character, with Elba playing a new character in “The Suicide Squad.”

It is unknown what character Elba would now be playing, but after taking the last few weeks to discuss, everyone involved felt this was the right move. The team also did not want to feel as if it was disrespecting Smith, who helped bring this character to life for the first time, by replacing him with Elba. While many believe chances are still slim for a future return, the decision keeps the door open for Smith to possibly come back in future films, since his original reason for leaving had to do with scheduling and not creative differences.

Variety first reported in February that Smith would not be appearing in the next film and Warner Bros. and Gunn moved instantly to add Elba to the team after the director and actor sat down days after Smith’s departure. The meeting went so well that Elba agreed on the spot to join the next installment, but even at that time it was not set in stone whether he’d be playing Deadshot or a brand new member of the team.

With this decision, it looks like the only two characters expected to return are Harley Quinn with Margot Robbie reprising that role, Jai Courtney’s Captain Boomerang and Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller. Gunn is in the process of casting the remaining team members with production expected to start in the fall. The film is scheduled to bow on Aug. 6, 2021.

Jared Leto Shares First Official Look at His Character in Sony's MORBIUS

So the sole requirement for you to cast He man is hes gotta be 6foot4, 220pounds?

Do you know how many good actors there are that are big blonde muscle men?

Not many.

A studio has to look for a talented actor foremost, then take into consideration height/physique. Not just hire some big talentless fitness model.

I dont know this kids dimensions, I'll assume hes at least 6foot - good enough. Just has to hit the weights then.

Get a clue
Chris Hemsworth ?

Do you know how many good actors there are that are big blonde muscle men?
I was pointing out him for He-Man

How did you get lost in that conversation so easily?

Either of you two geniuses ever heard of a rhetorical question?

As for the guy playing Thor - I'm pretty sure the studio thought of the guy playing Thor, but didn't want him cos hes playing Thor.

The point was, He man didn't just have to be a big, blonde himbo, and there arent many talented ones around - I didn't say no such thing exists.

K thanks
