AQUAMAN 2 Officially in the Works with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick Penning the Script

Almost two months after opening its billion dollar hit Aquaman,Warner Bros. is starting to put the pieces together for a sequel. The studio has tapped David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who co-wrote the first movie, to begin penning a new installment, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

James Wan, who helmed the first movie and worked with Johnson-McGoldrick on The Conjuring 2, is making a deal to return as producer, as is Peter Safran. It is unclear at this stage whether Wan would return as director.

Aquaman opened in December to $67.8 million and has gone on to earn $1.12 billion globally. It is Warner Bros.' first DC movie to pass the $1 billion mark since 2012's The Dark Knight Rises.

The hiring of Johnson-McGoldrick finally gets a sequel into development, with a wait this long after a successful release a rarity in modern Hollywood. In some cases, studios begin to develop follow-ups even before a franchise picture rolls out. In many cases, it could be the Monday after a massive opening or that first week that studios and filmmakers come together to talk sequel.

But in Aquaman’s case, Wan was in no rush to jump back in (and still remains noncommittal to directing at this stage), and the studio did not want to pressure him or his collaborators.

Ironically, the studio had an easier time (just a bit) putting into development an Aquaman spinoff and hiring a writing duo to develop a horror-tinged project titled The Trench, which THR revealed last week.

Johnson-McGoldrick co-wrote the Aquaman script with Will Beall (Gangster Squad), with Geoff Johns receiving a story by credit along with Beall and Wan. He is repped by Paradigm.

Crazy theory about Avengers:End Game no spoiler about a number of reshoots.
This is from people posting at various location with extras and multiple shooting locations that there could be a reason why they did this and its not so much about the first, second or more was bad but to create multiple potential endings and misdirect fans and keep people off. This is why even in the effects department there was a huge effort to throw people off. Even things like Hasbro Toys have radically different versions of the storyline. I hear the effects departments are working on different stories and no one really knows what will end up in film. This is the extreme level that they are going through to cover up what potentially ends up in the story.

TOLKIEN explores the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school. This takes him into the outbreak of World War I, which threatens to tear the “fellowship” apart. All of these experiences would inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-Earth novels. Latest crazy Captain Marvel rumor.

She apparently old a living in a small fishing village some say Maine others say Alaska. When the alert was sent out it was sent out to her. She apparently had to take some convincing to get involved an this is the surprise.

Some said she can travel through time to get her younger self to travel to current time. This apparently happened before they find out about quantum time travel with ant-man.

This apparently explains why Nick Fury has never asked for her involvement. What made people wonder was a picture of Rocket with lobster cage behind him. They believe Avengers go to pay her a visit to press her for help.

During a recent promo interview for his next film The New King of Comedy (via MAAC), Chow confirms that he’ll be working on a follow-up to Kung Fu Hustle after he finishes work on a sequel to Mermaid. It’s also worth noting that the film will also not focus on Stephen Chow’s Sing, but will follow a whole new story set in the modern day.

Chow, however, has said that it’s possible that he’ll make a cameo.

Just before IW came out, there was a report that stated that all of the actors were given incorrect screenplays. That way, they really never knew what was going to happen except for that particular day of shooting that they were involved in.

One actor was given the correct screenplay: Cumberbatch.

Stephen Colbert has read the Lord Of the Rings every year since his childhood. He mentioned it helped him cope with the loss of his family members due to a plane crash.

I hope they give him a cameo.

    Hmmmm....

My gut tells me that photo of Rocket opening the door with lobster traps in the background is him visiting Thor in Norway.
