I am very very excited about this

I don't see a Novocaine thread, so I'll just drop this in here; LOVED it! A great silly action movie with some imaginative ways a guy who feels no pain can utilize that to win fights he shouldn't

I've never been so happy about an actor's horrible spending habits, forcing him to take so many off-the-wall acting jobs that have defined him as a one-of-a-king attraction in Hollywood.

So hearing Nicholas Cage is playing an obese football coach, football commentator, and who licensed his name onto the most popular football video game franchise of all time... I am all in to see this in theaters.

This is an old movie called "Illtown". It has M. Rappaport, Lili Taylor, Kevin Corrigan, and Eddie Kaye Thomas that you may know as the guy that fucked Stiffler's mom. Many other recognizable actors are in it.

What really stands out to me is the mood that the movie sets from start to finish. It's like a dream.

Nick Gomez, the director, has done a lot of huge movies since, but none as nuanced and interesting as "Illtown".

I couldn't find a short scene, so just watch the first minute or so and catch the mood of it.

A few movies Im looking forward to coming out this year:

The Rivals of Amziah King

A youtube movie reviewer I like said he watched this at the South by Southwest film festival and that it was easily his favorite film. It was the only movie he saw there that got a standing ovation. He said its hard to describe, a crime thriller, redneck comedy with some gore and music. He believes it will get OSCAR buzz.

This a movie coming out later this year that is written and directed by a Youtube movie critic named Chris Stuckman. It is his first film. I contributed to the kickstarter so Im looking forward to its release. It was recently announced that it is getting major distribution and will be out at theatres which is good news because I figured a kickstarter from a first time director could just be a straight to streaming movie. Sounds like its getting some good feedback from people involved in the production process.
