MMA Guru thinks Anderson Silva's resume is weak and that Anthony Hernandez could accomplish what he did in the same era thoughts.

While it is a bad take, using the Holland fight to discredit Fluffy is also a stupid take. Hernandez was 27 when he lost to Holland, thats like using the Takase and Chonan fights against Silva.

Lets see how Fluffy's career turns out before we shit on him. I have a feeling he will be champion, although I doubt his title defenses will come close to Anderson lol.
I use the Chonan and Takase fights to show Anderson struggled with ground guys and the competition in Pride it's not like it was a fluke for Anderson he got subbed twice in Pride he had troubles with submission artists wouldn't say it's a bad take.

I'd say even Leites holds up well. He returned to the UFC when MW was as good as it ever was, and was a ranked MW. He even took Bisping to a SD, and Bisping went on to win the title less than a year later. He has a win over Marquardt too, but Nate was deducted 2 points in that fight.

Vitor started TRT a little while after the Anderson fight, but he also joined Blackzilians and Hooft in 2012, when he realized he could kick. Anderson didn't fight that peak 2013 version, but 2011 Vitor would still do a number on a lot of the current division.

As far as MMA Guru, didn't he start following MMA in the last few years? COVID-19 era fan? I don't think he even knew what MMA was when Anderson was in his prime.
Oh, Leites was still a good win. The reason I excluded him and Cote was the top 10 thing. I couldn't find matchups against the current crop that I give them a good chance in as I could for the others.

Yeah you're right about TRT Vitor but he was still on a streak and in good form at the time.

Fluffy is a nasty grappler himself, could sub the Anderson that Chonan did.

I don't remember Irvin or Forrest popping.
Not roids, but banned substances (usually because of some minimal argument for "Performance enhancing," hence why it gets marked as PED's). Weird how each time Silva made a quick LHW jump as champ, his opponent's popped.

Irvin for methadone and oxymorphone
Griffin for xanax
Bonnar for boldenone

The Anderson that lost to those guys was NOT the same Anderson that fought in the UFC. Those guys are mediocre fighters. That's like the GSP that lost to Matt Hughes. Fighters improve.

This is common in all sports. Listen to people talk about the nba from the 80s or football for that matter. Everyone acts like people are bigger and stronger because its the future. Its training and nutrition and all that shit. The greats from the past would be great now if they trained like these guys do. They rose above everyone and would do it again. Ali would still ko usyk and I love usyk.

Exactly then he fought maia chael twice and lietes and a bunch of dudes who were great sub guys. There is no minor leagues losses early in someones career dont even really matter in mma

Yea there’s all kinds of spicy takes out there.

Guru looks older than he is bc he’s fat and bearded. He’s still just a lad with flagrant recency bias. We should always remember that when dealing with newer fans.

No offense but you and others have to make that excuse up to excuse away those losses fact is Anderson was knocking dudes out left and right during that time and before he got exposed in Pride, he never got better nothing that he showed in his game would point to that he went to Cage Rage as the same striker he was during Pride and that's where his success began he also went the distance with Lee Murray so it's not like he was invincible, his Pride record was 3-2 with wins over Stiebling who at the time was on a tear and about to fight Wand for the title until Anderson derailed him he also KO'd Newton had wins over Sakurei and Carneiro who was also in the UFC no he was just as good, styles make fights and Anderson was able to beat Maia and Leites by not fighting and exploiting the rules he couldn't do that in Pride with a grappler and got subbed.

There’s people out there that actually give this guy attention?

I refuse to click on anything with that fat face like he’s some know-it-all ffs

BULLSHIT you fukking guys have to make excuses because he was the UFC champ and yall don't want the UFC champ to look bad having a losses in Pride but facts are facts and Anderson lost not because it was early in his career but because they were bad style matchups, he faced two good submission artists in UFC and one of them Maia he looked good for 2 rounds and avoided him and stalled that's how he won that fight, in Pride against Chonan and Takase he couldn't do that shit and had to engage and got finished has nothing to do with evolving, UFC allowed stalling.

Fun fact Anderson was 11-1 before the Takase loss and after that had 3 wins two of which were Murray, Horn in their primes so please don't give me the excuse that it was early in his career those losses, he was 14--2 just before the Chonan loss ridiculous narrative to save face for the UFC.

I don't understand why so many users on here keep posting MMA Guru videos on here, I'm starting to think this is a team that works for him to spread his videos and make that money. Terrible video after terrible video but there is constant threads of his videos like its gospel. Always by users who aren't very active on the forums. I smell a rat, and a fat rat at that.

Am I the only one who's never actually clicked on one of this guys videos because his face in the thumbnail is always such a turnoff?

Is his whole gimmick to look like the most stereotypical basement dwelling poor hygiene MMA fan out there?
I click sometimes because it motivates me to hit the gym and eat healthy, so i don't ever end up looking like him

He is definitely not welcome in my mansion. He would steal and eat all the food and then fart and stink up the place
