Depends how you gauge "long history". Bethesda developed fairly exclusively for PC until Morrowind in 2001 which was made available for PC and Xbox. The first game they made for the PC, Xbox and Playstation all together was Oblivion in 2006.

The old Interplay Entertainment team ( split between Obsidian/InXile) and now Bethesda..

Microsoft’s strategy will ultimately win out in the end. The convenience of Game Pass is too enticing. Sony has dropped the ball on PSNow and it’s looking too late.

PC is just the smarter choice at this point. You get the MS library plus stuff they don’t get. You might also have a chance of getting the PS 5 library or at least some of it.

In the future, I do think Obsidian should be given another chance to create a spin-off fallout.. but they're currently all in on developing Avowed.
