wow didn’t realize that. There actually is a chance some of these games stay multi platform if that’s the case. Didn’t Minecraft cost them a shit load and they kept it multiplayers?

it doesn’t add anything but certainly gives you more of a reason to buy the system or get a pc. IMO there was no reason before halo and gears are tired series at this point.

Yea I'm looking at this from a different perspective I guess. Lots of people here consider this a big win for Microsoft but as a potential investors, I think to myself that microsoft had been in the console business for close to 20 years and they are making risky moves like this to grab market share? I dunno guys... The Xbox business should be mature at this point and this investment indicates that it isn't quite there yet.

What you're struggling to understand is that Microsoft is trying to get everyone to subscribe to Game Pass by any means necessary. You're living in the past thinking the business model should have "matured at this point," they're changing the whole game.
 
Console fanboys are weird man. I'm trying to come up with a comparison to other industries but its just too unique and ridiculous.

Guess subscription services are taking over gaming faster than I thought. Not a huge fan but it was inevitable so I'm not gonna be the old man complaining. They really need to fix the Windows store though.

Certainly. Skyrim and Fallout 4 are still in the top most played games list on steam alone. Especially impressive for 9 year old Skyrim.

That's why all the Sony Ponies on these boards need to stfu. Also, all these "awesome Sony exclusives" are coming to PC too like Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stranding and that new Spiderman game to name a few.
