Microsoft acquires Zenimax Entertainment for $7.5 billion

And here I am with a PS5 preorder, meanwhile I hate jrpgs and love wrpgs.

Same here. I hate big ass sword JRPG games with emo characters. However I look forward to exclusives like Horizon, Dark Soul series and the Yakuza games

Pre-order a series x or even a S, on the All access payment plan.. with 2 years of gamepass included...

We’ll see what the future brings. At the moment there’s nothing imminently coming out from Bethesda et al. that I want, but if two years from now they’re releasing the next Doom and Fallout games and skipping PS5 then we’ll see about a Series X. Or preferably a gaming pc.

Salty at what? He’s either a troll or believes the things he says. Either way, don’t like him at all or have an ounce of respect.

Nobody is going to talk about how bad Fallout 4 was? You basically become Superman in a mech power suit half way through the game. Useless crafting funds with nothing to buy from merchants.

glitch city also

What nobody is talking about is just how bad Bethesda has become recently.

Fallout 76 being basically a meme within the gaming community for being so bad (with sales to reflect that) isn't good and Fallout 4 was definitely bad compared to New Vegas and even 3.

It is a good acquisition on the part of microsoft no doubt, but if people are expecting them to becoming saviours to Bethesda they are in for a very rude awakening.

Expect more of the status quo - maybe even worse.
No there won't be another Elder scrolls in most of our lifetimes either, and no Xbox isn't going to become a single player exclusive RPG playground like some people seem to believe for some reason.

God I sound like such a hater/Sony fanboy but I'm neither.
Im just well aware of what the gaming industry has become, and if people expect Microsoft is going to go "gamers first" and not aggressively recoup that 7.5bil with MT's and plenty more games like FO76 they're fucking delusional.

So InXile, Obsidian and Bethesda are going to suddenly stop producing RPGs..?

{<huh}

All three currently have games of that ilk in development..

The significance of this deal is locking PlayStation users out of future titles from some of the most successful and popular studios and franchises.
Yeah, I know. Admittedly, I don't know how well their games did on consoles but I had a horrific experience with New Vegas when I bought it for my PS3.

I don't Playstation owners will be missing much either way.

Those are good acquisitions no doubt, but are they game changing to the tune of 7.5 billion?

Fuck no, not even close.
I could see them doing some cool shit for sure though.

Bethesda is the big buy here, and I doubt any big single player exclusive will be coming from them for many years.

Probably just going to be some Fallout 3/New Vegas remasters and Skyrim for the 40th time and some more FO76 style games full of MT's.
