I honestly think that Morales obliterates Shavkat at this moment. He’s really big, hits hard and precise. Shavkat usually blocks punches with his face. I don’t think Shavkat can bully Mirales like he did with his previous opponents.

I think people are just excited about Morales, he's unproven, I think a title eliminator against Shavkat or Garry would be awesome, I think the title shot should definitely either be Garry or Shavkat without a doubt.

Oh boy… again Islame and his fans want to see all challengers eliminate each other while Islame sits out, studies them and starts preparation more than half a year before he „can“ fight and once they fought he will push the UFC to immediately set a fight so that they have no real recovery and significant preparation time.

I could see Islam just beating Usman then retiring and declaring himself GOAT.

Get Shavkat back in there ASAP! Don't let him wait around for Islam, he's gotta get back on a roll posthaste.

Islam/Morales in the spring makes sense, unless there's a second Ramadan I don't know about. And though I know he doesn't deserve it as much as Garry, Shavkat, and Morales, Usman presents a stylistic problem that none of those guys do, provided his knees aren't absolutely shot. What's that? Oh, they are! Looks like he gets Prates instead then!

Definitely not, it should be Islam vs Morales, have Shavkat face or Prates or Usman, have Garry fight someone accordingly as well. Islam needs to fight, Morales is the most worthy.

I would rather see the Islam Morales fight as I think Morales has a better chance than Garry does.
But I think Garry & Morales both have strong claims at this point to fight for the belt.
Morales is 8-0 in UFC
Garry is 10-1 w/ the only loss being Shavkat (a fight he took on short notice), who is the #1 contender and would be fighting next for the title if it wasn't for his injury. (I think he needs to come back and win one after being out so long)
And since that loss, Garry beat Prates & Belal. And overall Garry has beaten more top fighters than Morales has. Morales beaten 2 or 3 top-15 guys (forget if Magny was ranked when they fought) and 1 top 10 guy in Brady.
Garry has beaten at least 6 top 15 guys.
Morales has more finishes though.

TBH if i have to pick who has a more compelling case on paper between the two, I'm picking Garry.

Pretty wild (but not unexpected) if the UFC goes with neither though.

If Ian Garry gets title shot then yes, absolutely. If Morales gets title shot then Usman vs Shavkat wouldn't surprise me.

this could also still happen if Usman some fckn how gets a title shot, but Ian Garry would be in the mix to possibly fight Morales. & then Shav vs Prates?

It should be Islam vs Shavkat & Garry vs Morales. Everyone can miss me with the "he hasn't fought in a year+" so his win vs #1 Garry doesnt count anymore.

JDM, Woodley, & Colby(Usmam 2) all were out for over a year yet 2 of the 3 won the title and Colby lost 3-2. Same division.

Very dangerous match-up for Shavkat after a long layoff, especially if he can't get an early TD (something Brady didn't come close to doing).

OTOH, we don't need more rank-squatting at WW...there's been too much of that for the last 10 years.

Of course, Islam would also be an extremely difficult fight for a guy with a lot of cage rust like Shavkat. They could feed Belal to Shavkat for a pretty certain UD win, but it would prove nothing and waste more time.

Prates (dangerous striker but poor TDD) or Usman (coming off a win) would be decent tests if Shavkat doesn't want to go straight for the title.
