Apparently they couldn't proceed with a criminal case because of the fact Mcgregor claimed they had consensual rough sex so even with his dna inside her, proving that it was rape would be difficult because of his claim it was rough sex. They also said that because she was drunk and had cocaine in her system and couldn't remember having sex with Conors friend also made her lose credibility it seems. Not word for word ofc but that's pretty much what the DPP told her. The statement is posted online somewhere

So the woman consensually was beat up and had left her tampon on while getting it shoved into her so deep that it had to be removed with a forcep, to show up shaking, crying, and traumatized at a hospital. And Conor saying it was consensual made it "hard to prove" that it was rape?

I might be not that old, but I have never heard a more ridiculous justification for letting a person off a criminal charge. It's not only baffling, it's infuriating, and an insult to human intelligence.

The doctor's report said he had never seen anything like that, when asked if this could have been consensual.

This is plain horseshit. This is corruption beyond measure. The judge who dismissed this as a criminal case ought to be investigated, to say the least. We are talking about the scum of the Earth.

I reckon the only reason he said that is because he couldn't deny sleeping with her because his dna allegedly was inside her so it's likely he would never even have admitted having sex with her only for that. Once he admitted to having sex with her he had no choice but to say it was rough sex because of the bruising she sustained etc

I do think the girl was a bit foolish and some of her behaviours are questionable but it's likely she thought she was cool af hanging out and partying with these ppl plus she probably needed to sober up for it to really hit home what happened.

The fact she went back to the room for instance with Mr Lawrence end was seen kissing him and hugging him. That is a bit odd but it proves nothing and it's likely she was all over the place and had no idea what to do or how to act.

I think they key point that the guy that posted that initially missed was at that point she didn't know Mr Lawrence had raped her, so she probably saw him as a supportive friend at that point. It was only afterwards that she found out that he'd told the police they had intercourse.

I do agree that she certainly put herself in a high risk situation, but that doesn't mean justice shouldn't be served.

She doesn’t remember any of this. However, say if this did occur… are Conor’s lawyers going to attempt to pin this on his friend? I.e he caused more of the substantial damage.

I don’t think it’s helping her case that she’s claiming not to remember certain aspects, I can see why the DDP didn’t want to make this a criminal case. Hopefully she does get some closure/money out of this, clearly went through quite the ordeal whilst being heavily under the influence.

If anything I'd argue that strengthens her case. She remembers the Conor rape. She didn't know the other guy had raped her too and only found that out when he admitted to doing it (at least sex rather than rape)
