Ruffy has been booked before and they didn't find an opponent. It sucks, I dont know how real Ruffy is outside of his hype.
Ranked fighters don't want to take the risk and journeyman doesn't want to fight him for peanuts

They just got a new crop of Contender Series fighters, and a bunch of guys under contract who aren't really in a position to say no. I'm sure they'll find someone, just maybe not someone good.

Dammit I was scrolling upcoming fights saw Ruffys name and had a moment of happiness and now just like that its gone.

But hopefully they find a fight if not 309 then at least for this year.

He trains at Fighting Nerd with Jean Silva, Caio Borralho, and Carlos Prates

Charlie Campbell is 9-2, 2-0 in the UFC, beating Trevor Peek and Alex Reyes, after losing to Chris Duncan in DWCS
He trains at Serra Longo

Both fighters are strikers

Can't really lose even if Campbell scores the upset, but yeah, I think they're showcasing Ruffy here.
