Add more endings. Red, blue and green isn’t enough, throw in yellow, purple and orange too.

I'm hyped for the purple ending

I also hope they update the combat from the first game. The shooting is pretty bad.

The first one had terrible shooting but it was amusing to use that Soldier move to basically shoot nonstop and never overheat (Adrenaline Rush or something?) it actually made that class pretty ridiculously OP in Insanity. I thought the biotics were fun to use in ME1, it was a lot more fun than ME2/3 imo. It was also super OP but it was so fun to just lift massive enemies off the ground and watch enemies fly up and fall 250ft from the air lol

Singularity was broken in the first game, they had to nerf it for the sequels. I never played any other build but biotic in MS1 due to how OP it was.

Bioware is doing the remaster. I don't know how anyone who has been invested in the story could appreciate the ending. The game forces you to make a dumb decision based on the premise that there can never be peace between synthetics and organics, in spite of the fact that Shepard can bring peace between synthetics and organics in the same game. It's as if the people who wrote the ending didn't play the rest of the game.

On top of that the original ending didn't provide closure for any of the character arcs, didn't provide closure for whoever you chose to romance, and ended with the relays being destroyed, which based on the Mass Effect lore would doom civilization and lead to a lot of people being wiped out.

It's not necessarily that I appreciated it. I just didn't mind it as much as others did. Also I think the AI was saying their could never be true peace. So yes Shepherd created a temporary peace (even then Tali and the Geth got into a fight during a fucking life ending war). It was never going to be true peace is what the AI was saying. Eventually it would end in war and has happened countless times as we already saw.

MS1 adept or whatever is the funnest class of just about any game I can think of.

Is there still no trailer or screenshots for this? Wtf?

2 months out and nothing. Has me wondering.

As if screenshots or trailers would be a trusted representation of the final product anyway. :rolleyes:

*No hype.
*No Pre-Orders.
*Wait for trusted reviews a few days after the release.
*No exceptions, especially after CP2077.

And even if CP2077 was good, its not like shitty developers with even shittier publishers could ever be trusted again.

I don’t preorder games. I’m just curious what improvements have been made. If it’s nothing more than a resolution boost to 4K then count me out, I’ve still got my 360 discs which hopefully will still work on my new Series X.

I think that's what it's essentially gonna be. Just some general smoothing out and performance improvements. Fairly typical of remasters. It ain't gonna be no "Demons Souls" overhaul/remake.

Not interested in any of that. On pc they already have mods that make the game look amazing so I’m not to invested in this either way.

Yeah, there's really no point on PC considering the modding community. I personally don't see the big deal with remasters anyways. They're way overpriced for some minor technical improvements. Just look at the recent "Kingdoms of Amalur" remaster. It's the same game they're selling for $2 on sale regularly, with some better frame rates and draw distances. Fifty dollars, please. LOL. I hope that failed worse than the original release.

It did, Amalur remasted was dog shit cash grab from the get go.

I'd like to know who thought it was a good investment to begin with. The game was such a monumental commercial failure that it bankrupted the studio that made it in record time, and some genius comes along and thinks it's a great idea to try and sell that game again at like a ridiculous mark up from what the original version goes for these days. To quote AVGN, what were they thinking?

For really old games it makes sense and I can understand it. Mass effect isn’t that old. I pretty much always expect these to fail unless they are doing a remake like re2 and ff7.

I’m mainly just following this to see what they end up doing with it. Sounds like it’s just going to be a lazy remaster though with 2 months to go and no info released. This is clearly something that no one is invested in.

Then again EA treated Apex the same way and that was a surprise. Doubt that’s what’s happening here though.

It was absurd seeing the giant colossus just flying in the air and also making Saren a complete bum. Helplessly floating probably thinking to themselves “IM FUCKED”

In regards to the remaster coming out I don’t think it’s a bad idea at all, if they do it right it will reinject some life back into the series and also create a larger fan base leading into ME4. They just better not fuck it up lol

It sold over a million copies, it was only a failure based on how much they spent on it. Classic case of mismanagement. The guy in charge had no idea how to develop a game.

I beat ME1 as every class. Agreed 100% on Singularity. It's like being Quicksilver in the X-Men movies. Literally enemies floating around like sitting ducks, easy target practice. I felt like they way over nerfed Adept in the Sequels with the armor and shield bars due to how OP it was in ME1.

ME1 = Best Story
ME2 = Best Game
ME3 = Best Combat

My favorite gaming series. Will definitely buy, but still disappointed in ME3 for the lousy squadmates, terrible ending, no final boss, and the fact we never get to fight an actual Reaper. Should have been 2 games.

Oh it better be more than a resolution boost. It should, at the very least, be 60FPS. I remember playing both Mass Effect 1&2 on a gaming PC back in 2011 and amazed how poor ME1 looked in comparison to ME2. ME1 was a PC port of an XBox360-exclusive game and the graphics were very sub-par in comparison to most games I played on the PC. ME2 was a PC/XBox360/PS3 game at launch, I believe, and was absolutely gorgeous.

That's why ME1, by far, needs the most work to bring it up to par with the rest of the trilogy for this legendary collection.

If Bioware can't even take the already good games they have and manage to put an appreciably fresh coat of paint on them I don't see any reason to expect a decent sequel in DA/ME 4. I suppose there's an off chance that the studio revitalizes itself like Infinity Ward has with Modern Warfare, but when has that ever actually happened at a company controlled by EA?
