Love me some mass effect 1-3. Evil female shep is some of the best voice acting in video games.

If Bioware can't even take the already good games they have and manage to put an appreciably fresh coat of paint on them I don't see any reason to expect a decent sequel in DA/ME 4. I suppose there's an off chance that the studio revitalizes itself like Infinity Ward has with Modern Warfare, but when has that ever actually happened at a company controlled by EA?
It maybe nieve but I'm personally hopeful that DA4 will be good because Inquisition was pretty good (not on DAO's level but good nonetheless). But your right the Bioware of Mass Effect 1-2 and DAO is probably dead forever .

Casey Hudson and Mark Darrah left the DA4 development and the BioWare company as a whole. After they came back JUST to work on it when teh DA4 as a live service idea got scrapped.

I want it to be good but I have zero hope it will be.

Yeah I mean at least they did come back and it won't be a live service . I think zero hope is a little much but I sympathize with your perspective to be sure .

The problem is I know two guys probably can't sway a game A TON, but both Hudson and Darrah where on the ground floor of Origins, had nothing to do with 2, and Hudson was by himself for Inquisition and Darrah rejoined to help with some of the DLC in Inquisition (like the Dread Wolf one). And you can see the narrative quality differences that way.

Oh for sure . I'm replaying for Dragon Age 2 because I have thought "hmmm maybe it's not quite as bad as I remember" .. and oof was I wrong it's not a horrific game in a vacuum but as a Dragon Age game it's so bad <45>

Should I just play the series with mods on PC? Which mods and which gameplay mods are recommended. I remember ME1 or ME2 playing like shit for the first hour or so when they were free on PS Plus.

I've never played with mods but I would recommend for ME1 going biotic (Adept) so you don't have to shoot as much and in ME2/3 you just have to get used to the movement. ME2/3 is very cover based and generally speaking the movement is ass aside from running forward. You pretty much want to be in cover mode all the time in ME2/3 unless you are playing Vanguard in which you can teleport to people and shotgun them. The actual shooting in ME2/3 is pretty decent/good but the movement is clunky and especially if you are out of cover it will feel awkward.

I can't tell if it's a graphical quirk or a design function but the ADS when out of cover always felt slower to me as is the ability to horizontally change targets. In cover it feels fast and snappy but out of cover it feels sluggish.

Thanks so much, will definitely remember this. I really like a good story and characters in my games, otherwise everything feels pointless. That r or really amazing gameplay.

I still regularly play through the whole series with mods on PC. It looks great. I'm not sure what mods they are called exactly but just go to Nexus mods. It's kind of complicated. I was in the middle of a playthrough when the remaster rumors started so I stopped. If the remasters are shit I'll just leave them alone and keep using the mods.

The only gameplay mode I used was for controller support the rest were graphic mods.

So you played with a pad? Doesnt the game play good on a KB+M?

It plays fine with KB+M I just prefer to have everything using a gamepad. The only game I hate with a gamepad is Rainbow six siege.

I'm hoping it's because I'm watching it through youtube but I feel like the game with mods looks better than this. Oh well if they don't change to much the community should be able to get all the mods moved over and working with this game as well and maybe even better. Having all the DLC is great and has been a huge issue for anyone who has followed this series. So this is a day 1 for me.

unfortunate release date, Im gonna have to put this on the backlog.
Yeah very much looking forward to playing through these games for the first time but Village is my May priority. I might be through it though in time for this.
