Looks alright, not worth playing again though, by the looks of it.

Loved ME1 and 2, but I don't see anything new being offered.

I don't think I'll ever stop playing Mass Effect. The most vivid, genuine, robust universe I've ever experienced in a game. That beautiful theme & galaxy map music. No matter how badly the games age I'll keep coming back.

It's the only game I always come back to. I was already starting up another play through when I heard about the remaster rumors so I stopped.

Here's a good video describing all the changes with screens and a total babe as the host. I'm really excited for this!

@method115 she said there will be controller support

I'm probably gonna end up getting this on both PC and PS5. I did the same with the original games (xbox360 and PC) and Andromeda too. I'm a sucker for the series

I'll get this. I haven't replayed the series since I beat Mass Effect 3 when it came out. It was like Game of Thrones in that I lost all interest in revisiting it once I saw the ending. I'm pretty sure I'll stop at the Citadel DLC, which I never experienced the first time.

Im honestly a little underwhelmed, which is a shame because Mass Effect 1 is my favourite game of all time, I honestly expected a bit more given that it’s been over 13 years since ME1 and 9 years since ME3. Just thought they would or could have done more.

They could have done more and I wanted them to do more but I knew they wouldn't. What they've said so far is honestly the most I expected them to do and it's what I wanted all DLC and controller support. ME3 and ME3 still looked great with mods on PC so I never really needed more there. ME1 did in a way but it had an issue with being to dark but I think they fixed it here.

The main reason to get this is to avoid having to use mods in general.

Not really. Much like all remasters, it's gonna be optimized for universal stability. If you've got ME modded out and it works, it's likely gonna be better than whatever this ends up being. On top of that, there will probably be mods for this remaster that improves certain aspects all the same. It's gonna be a base level remaster.

well it’s still my main reason. I don’t enjoy having to install the mods. On top of that there are other issues with the game that cause issues from it being old. I always get it working but it’s just work I don’t want to do Whenever I reinstall.

I’ve seen more from the remasters and I think it will be close enough to the mods that I can ignore them. Really will just have to see it in person to know.

Fuck I thought this was coming out next month. Should have a XSX by then tho.

I'm making a prediction - The ME Remasters will be 30FPS on the PS4/XB1... OR the detail won't be anywhere close to how they run on PC/PS5/XBX.

I've played alot of games on PS4 over the last year and NO 3rd person games run at 60FPS, with the exception of The Last of Us, but it was just a increased resolution and framerate. Based on the trailer and screenshots they've put ALOT of work into the textures, and as one IGN preview mentioned "Increasing the detail up to 16x."

I get that the PS4 is more powerful than the PS3, but not by a gigantic margin to make these obvious gorgeous clips captured from the PC version run on consoles that were released in 2013.

You could say EA is pulling a CDPR... when actually CDPR pulled a EA... putting blatant false advertising out there as a means to secure preorders, because they know there's tens of millions more PS4s & XB1s on the market than PS5s & XBXs.

If I'm wrong no one will be happier than me, but I highly doubt I'm wrong.

Might be a case of them having “performance” vs “quality” modes, 4K/30 and 1080p/60

I'm glad that they're tweaking the combat from ME1 but I also hope that they don't nerf Biotics in that game. They were so satisfying to play as in the first game.

"Sadly, though somewhat unsurprisingly, the original three games in the trilogy will not be released unaltered, as Walters revealed that the team had made edits to some of the game’s more ‘well-rounded’ cutscenes.

According to Walters, “Kevin [Meek] actually called out some camera cuts that were just… why was that focusing on Miranda’s butt?”

“So in some cases we said, ‘Okay, we can make a change there’,” he recalled. “But ultimately, to change an entire character model or something like that wasn’t really… it was a decision that was made as part of many creative decisions and just showing it at the best possible fidelity that we could going forward is really the choice for all of the art that we had.”

Unfortunately, despite these improvements and changes being made to Mass Effect, Walters concluded his interview with Metro by revealing that the third game’s controversial ending would remain unchanged."

You had one job, Bioware. Just one job.

And this is just four years after they released Andromeda, which featured fully nude T&A, but now a female character who's fully clothed from her neck to her toes needs to be censored.

Wow.

Just wow.
