Manny Pacquio vs David Diaz plus Fields/Barrett Tonight on PPV

Hey guys,

This is my first post. Been lurking this forum for years, though. I didn't know there was this great boxing section. Glad I found it!

Anyway, I just saw the fight. It didn't seem like Diaz had a chance. I can't believe Manny was the one moving up in weight. He seemed like the bigger fighter here. The other guy was simply outclassed in terms of speed, technique and power.

That knockout punch in the end reminded me so much of Ali's famous knockout punch that was so fast and almost seemed like it came from nowhere. I found it so cool that Manny went back and actually tried helping Diaz back to his feet.

Anyway, wow, what a showing by my countryman! Go Manny! Represent!

regards,

What an awesome fight. I bet 2 dollars to win 24 for pacman to get a stoppage in the 8th and I thought the ref was going to step in. But I more than made up for it by winning 56some dollars with the over under.

Anyways, Pacman looked amazing, and can give anyone in the division trouble. His toughest fight will be Casamayor I think. I also think that even if mayweather didnt retire, Pacman would still be considered p4p #1. The people he has beat moving up in weights, especially 126, 130, and now a decent title holder at 135, and the way he has done it is more impressive than mayweather.

I want to see Pacman vs any of the big names at 135 though, all the fights would be interesting.

just watched the post-fight interviews and diaz does a pretty good clay davis

Cut that shit out.

Mayweather - more balls than you.

I can't believe that comment offended you, You are free to have a murderer for an avatar so isn't he free to slate Mayweather if he feels it's necessary?

We have rules against Fighter Bashing, an Avatar of a gangster has nothing to do with that.

What an awesome fight. .

Well, awesome performance by Pacquiao.

I was surprised at how one sided that fight was. I really thought style wise, Diaz would be a tough fight for Manny, but he was so slow in comparison... it was obvious after the first round that he had no shot.

If chico and castillo were still in the mix and pac came to 135, would pac have the balls to face them. He probably would. But those guys were just so damn big for that weight. It would have been interesting though. :)

Corrales would have looked like he was moving underwater against Pac.
Castillo in his prime would be difficult for anyone..

Manny's right hook lead was absolutely disgusting last night....

He only threw a few short left hands with power...ultimately its always his left hand that finishes the fight..

incredibly dominant performance..

Diaz left his defense at the gym

Come on now, Pac's fast but he isn't Mayweather fast. And it's not like Diaz didn't hit him at all, just didn't matter. Corrales had better hand-speed by far than Diaz.

Pac was awesome indeed. Performed even better than I expected.

i'm glad I didn't put any money on this one. Pacman looked very strong.

ok maybe "under water" was an overstatement...but the point remains.. I think manny moves too well..and uses his speed too effectively for dc...unfortunately we will never find out..even if corrales were alive..this fight couldn't happen..
