Machida/Henderson 2 - Does anyone actually care?

I care. It's just a chance for Hendo to even it up 1-1. Bragging rights count more for veterans like Hendo and Machida who have already passed their prime.

I fucking hate Dan Henderson's fights.

Nearly 20 years spent watching his career and yet I just can't bring myself to like anything about him, or how he fights

I might respect the fighter for the athleticism and training, but goddamnit man. Hate the fights

I know the UFC usually uploads previous fights of people who have a fight coming up, but holy shit, at least pick a fight where Hendo/Machida finished someone. Not that pile of shit.
They uploaded Mir vs Cro Cop for one of Mir's recent fights....

I care enough to watch it but I don't have high expectations for it. I didn't even want this match up again.

It's the most stupid thing they could do with both fighters. Hendo will spam the bomb and Machida will be on his bike.

Outside of Hendo/Machida fans anyway? I'll watch, but I'm befuddled as to why this rematch is even happening.

Was there really no younger MWs for these guys to test themselves against? Regardless of who wins (probably Machida via having the tiniest bit left in the gas tank), where does it get them?

Then when you take into account how sleep inducing the first fight was, it's really perplexing that this fight was even made again.
You cared enough to make a post about it.

Last fight was too close, i'm sure the two of them want a more decisive victory as do the fans.

The first fight was boring because Machida didn't really engage until he had Dan figured out in the 3rd round. I think Machida is going to get comfortable much sooner against a slowed down Dan Henderson. Machida will take over the fight in second and third rounds to a dominant decision IMO.

i just want to see hendo ko machida!

im being very optimistic. i know. but thats just what i want!

It's the most meh rematch I've ever seen. If Hendo KO's Machida meh. If Machida KO's Hendo meh.

Its a dumb fight. Machida most likely wins, and it does nothing for him.

Even if he wins, it will be against an "old, trt-less" Hendo. Which is true. But if he loses, it will be his third(It's Dan)KO loss in a row. Reminds me of his bout with Randy. Sure, he high-light reel kicked a legend into retirement, but most people didn't really care.

It was all, "Wow, he beat an old guy who used to be really good", and the perks are the same now as they were then: It would simply break a two-fight losing streak. Of course, Machida is not young himself these days, and this "old man" Hendo can still take someone's head off--very different from the work horse Couture. This fight is like cracking an egg, throwing away the yolk and eating the shell. Questionable, not very productive for either man, and...it may cause you to shit blood? I don't know, I lost where I was going.

All that we can hope for is that it's a good fight, potentially fitting for one of these two men's last trip to the octagon.

I want to see machida get an easy win so yeah....I'm kind of looking forward to it

The only reason either one of them would want a rematch is to redeem themselves for that crappy first fight.

This is the reason TRT needs to be legal, its so hard to get excited or be interested about fighters when u know they wont be themselves. Hendo is a fossil at this point and will probably get koed.

Huge Machida fan but thought the people responsible for making this matchup are complete idiots (Silva and Dana). WTF.
