My estimated max from yesterday was 380 so my plan is to finish this wave of the 5/3/1 and then on the next wave I'll test my max. It looks like June 21 will be the day, mark it on your calendar!

How's the bench form going along?

Running
-East 3 miles @ 29min pace. Gotta get back into it, I'm sure I have lost all of the progress I made.


Notes: Wanted to oly lift, but my lower back was fried. Hoping tomorrow will treat me a little better regarding DOMS.

Thank ya sir, I think it's working. I wonder if I can wear it tighter, but I haven't tried. It feels kind of lose while I am in the starting position. The bench form is slowly getting better, it still feels really weird to try to keep those shoulder blades pinched. I really wish there was some powerlifting coach around here who could point me in the right direction.

Hah thanks man, I am gonna try oly lifting tomorrow if my back will allow it. I'll send you a text if I'm goin, I dunno what you're lifting plans are.
 
I'm saving it for Friday. I usually do Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat. My back has had a hint of wonkiness since last Sat, so I've been taking it easy. It feels like it'll be 100% by next Saturday, so I'd be stoked to dick around and do some ugly cleans and snatchies then. I'm also going to start seriously working power cleans on Tuesday.
 
Running
-3 miles at really easy pace. Might have to find some sort of knee sleeve designed for running. My right mcl was bothering me again :icon_cry2


Notes: Still sore as hell, which means oly lifting is most likely a bad idea. Might try to go to the gym and bench/front squat if I am feeling up to it or just save it for oly lifting tomorrow.
 
SKETCHING
-just finished this one, it's meant to be a warm up for my Ireland trip. I will be taking Drawing I: Drawing Irish Landscapes and Art Appreciation while I am there. I plan on uploading a lot of the work. So here is my drawing comeback, one of maybe 4 drawings I have done in the last 4 years.

Pfft I don't do artwork for chicks brah. You get attached to some art you have spent hours working on, can't give that away to some chick. This one though really was just for purposes of trying to get back into it and has pretty much no meaning or anything to it. Speaking of oly chick, let's oly lift tomorrow. I think she is in there with john usually around noon, want to hit it up then?

yeah, the shoulder blade pinching and the arch were the biggest adjustments for me. Would be really nice to have an actual PL coach pinpoint how to do it, as for now we'll just have to settle for youtube and interwebs. On the brightside, you have an oly coach so that's always good.

That's a nice sketch by the way. The shadows/shading that you did looks remarkable. If i can draw as good as you.. I would draw her topless.. lol

I got a doctor's appointment in the morning at the crack of dawn to get my skin checked for cancerous whatevers. Hopefully they won't steal too many of my freckles and I will have enough energy to oly lift.

I can't really tell if I'm doing the shoulder pinch thing which is my main concern, I should try to get a form check I think on here. Yeah it looks like we have to settle for the internet for now, but it is really kickass to have someone instruct the oly lifts. I would be lost without instruction there.

Thanks man, that sketch took forever to do. I think shading is my favorite part, but I gotta make myself use different pencils. It's really hard to get the darkness you want on the shading if all you use is a #2 pencil. Hmmm topless you say, didn't think of that one. Kira Gracie is one hot ma'am-uh-jam-uh, she can break your heart or your arm, now that's a woman!

Oly Lifting

SNATCH
-No coaches today, but I feel more comfortable doing this. I can recognize a good one from a bad one now at least.

-Went pretty light, my right shoulder was feeling kind of tired so I cut it out a little early.

-Felt pretty light, gotta start loading the bar up more.


Notes: I had a 7am doctors appointment and that took the wind out of me. I actually dropped the barbell on my head during one of the snatches and had to do a forward roll with it lol. It hit me just under the knob on the back of my head, it didn't really hurt, but it definitely woke me up better than the two cups of coffee I had. It didn't phase me much and I just kept snatching.

-my lower abs really hurt when I do these. I think I might have injured them somehow when I went crazy doing this a couple months ago. I'll take some more recovery time for these and try again in a week.
