She had an accent in the film! An 11 year old that could act through facial expressions and body language throughout the majority, badass stunts and when she did speak she was bilingual with a convincing accent!

PRODIGY!

She had 2 accents.

The more I think about Logan, the higher I rate it. It's like the film is still simmering in my mind, getting better as I reconsider scenes I didn't fully appreciate in the moment.

I desperately need to see it again, and wish I could do so without the distraction of an audience.

I'm going to see this for the second time this weekend, maybe tomorrow, who knows, ya know?

Anyhow, I watched Midnight Cowboy a few weeks ago and did some research on it because I thought it was great.
Apparently, Jon Voight was the second choice to play Joe Buck. They did some screen tests with both actors and they had Dustin Hoffman look at them (he was a huge star after the graduate) to give his 2 cents. He said that when he watched scenes with the other guy he was drawn to Rizzo (Hoffman's character), but when he saw the same scenes with Voight, he notices Joe. Huge compliment. Anyhow, I felt X-23 stole every scene she was in. Even when she wasn't talking or beheading cyborgs she stole the scene.

A lot of people have been saying that Stewart should get a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his role, and I completely agree. But I wouldn't be at all surprised if Keen isn't in the running next year. Her performance would have been superb for an adult. For a kid, it's astonishing.

As much as I'd love for Dafne to get a nomination, I highly doubt it would happen.

Her performance is one of the best child performances I've ever seen.

How could he not know that going with the horse transporting family would end up with them getting killed or in serious trouble , considering who was trying to find Logan, the girl and the Professor. Logan certainly knew this that is why he was reluctant to take their kind offer of dinner but he had to give-in to the professor.

Then after the dinner at their house Logan wanted to go , knowing they were in danger but again the Professor makes Logan change his mind.

The professor wanted to experience peace with a loving family because he hasn't experienced it since the x men were killed. He thought Logan could use it as well.

The professor wasn't all there mentally either, hence the pills he had to keep taken.

Movie had a lot of holes. Well made, different in a good way, but I personally didn't connect. Some of the holes ruined it for me. I mean, for the mutants, more of them survived in the DOFP Sentinal time-line lol. It just almost made fun/parody of the Marvel "Nothing has to really connect because they are just silly comic movies dummy" theme.. And people didn't notice that.

Again, different, and kind of haunting movie. If I would not have been distracted and been immersed in it, I would have enjoyed it as much as most other Sherdoggers did. Not being connected made me notice the holes more than the attempt at emotion.

Watched it last night.

I really enjoyed it as a stand alone piece. I haven't watched the other Wolverine films.

What almost ruined it for me was Steven Merchant.

Fuck me, that guy CANNOT act!!!

So I heard.

I enjoyed DOFP, but I caught 5 minutes of one of the Wolverines, Jesus Christ, it went straight off. I'm surprised they released such garbage.

As for the Professor.. I think HE killed the X-men lol. Logan should have whacked him out way before. Also, he went from shitting his pants not knowing who his own kids were, to just acting kind of drunk with the family they basically killed.

Finally saw this last night. Loved the brutality with all of Logan's kills!

Definitely. First Class is universally accepted as one of the better X-Men movies.

Mostly due to Fassbender's portrayal of Magneto. The rest of the cast were good, but it's The Fass' movie. Magneto killing the Nazi war criminals in Argentina is one of my favourite scenes in any Comic Book movie.

Eric(reads inscription on the Nazi's dagger)"Blood and Honour...which do you want to shed first?"

Nazi, "I was under orders!"

Eric, "Blood it is"

It's also funny to see how JLaw's role changed as she became one of the biggest stars in the world. At the time she was cast in First Class, she was a cute, girl-next-door type who could also act quite well. In FC, Mystique is there to A)provide eye-candy and B)occupy the middle ground between Xavier's optimism and faith in humanity, and Eric's cynicism and ruthlessness. Mystique uses her powers in battle only once: she distracts Azrael by posing as Shaw.

By the time she made DOFP, JLaw was the mega-star of a Billion dollar franchise. And thus Mystique had gone from eye candy to a bad-ass Mutant freedom fighter/terrorist who could kick the shit out of trained soldiers and inflitrate highly secure military bases. Or even the White House itself. Indeed, she's so important that the entire plot revolves around stopping Trask from using her DNA to build the Sentinals.

DOFP
Deadpool (that's right mofo)
First Class
Logan (Didn't love, but well made)
X2
Origins - dreadpoul = come at me
X1

I saw X-Men DOFP to its entirety the other day.

Makes me appreciate LOGAN even more. It's not because DOFP is a bad film, not at all but DOFP and many other X-Men films I've seen feel very similar in tone from the very first.

Whereas LOGAN, as every one says is unquestionably the darkest of the X-Men and probably all Marvel films, has such a different tone not just for X-Men films but all Superhero films.

Right after watching DOFP the first thing to pop in my mind was, "Wow! LOGAN really was different take on the franchise" lol. When i watch the X-Men films I felt like I was watching a comic book film where in LOGAN, not at all.
