Great fight! I'm leaning towards Morales because he has more KO power and seems to be hungrier.

already feel sorry for Leon.
Morales is the new champ.
Islam needs to be fast to get the title. imo Morales will beat everyone infront of him

Edwards seems done, can't see him beating a surging prospect. Morales by TKO

I don't think Leon really wants to be there anymore, not literally but mentally.

Nah Morales is a big guy, he might end up outgrowing the weight class & moving to MW before he gets a title fight. I don't think Morales will be able to make WW long term.

Purposeful matchmaking here. The UFC is trying to make sure Leon Edwards never wins a meaningful fight again. Lame. I'll be rooting for Leon.

Let them do that. Leon, will be fine. He's one of the cleanest, accurate strikers there is in the UFC. He just has to actually strike and not stand there, like he's taken a line of Ketamine.

I mean, if Morales beats Leon in impressive fashion he could easily skip over the other guys and be next in line for the title. Jack vs Morales for the title would be fireworks.

Leon is trailing in that poll. Have we lost all faith in Leon's ability already?? Morales is still very green. Leon is proven and tested commidity. And he Leon still isn't super old. Think he supirses people here.
He has just looked so uninspired that I have no faith he will show up in form. Also was never really sold on his ability. He’s good everywhere but not great. He’s often too patient. I think to be morales you need to pressure that kid. Leon won’t do that and probably gets finished.

This is another really tough one for Leon. I'd like to see him pull off a W to stop this current slide. Likely outcome is a Morales dominant win.

Let's give Buckley credit for beating up Colby. If Buckley beats Usman in a few weeks he deserves credit as well. It's good to see the young guys making the division exciting again.
Buckley also beat Wonderboy.. and while we all love Thompson he is old as fuck and was taking a spot in the rankings.

When Buckley retires Marty and Morales beats up Leon the guard will be completely changed at WW.

Maybe Prates can stop smoking and climbs up the rankings too.

I have Leon as the favorite because of the style matchup. I will admit that Leon seems to have checked out after winning the title.
I think morales finishes Leon. He is physically bigger and stronger and hits much harder. Including in that he moves forward and bullies and over powers all his opponents I have seen so far. He hits Leon a few times I think Leon turtles up like morales last couple opponents and tries covering up while morales gnp and ref pulls him off. From a technical standpoint I think Leon is better as a striker, the problem for him is when you start looking at the size and power and bully/push forward style of morales and the fact Leon doesn’t seem to mind going backwards as he does on a lot of fights lately and I don’t think he can win a fight like that against morales. In fact I think it will be down within 2 rounds if he tries fighting going backwards.

Im not betting against Morales until he loses or fights Jack.

Morales just taking on himself to clear WW of any and all of the "old guard". Okay then.

Yeah...it is a solid strategy for up-and-comers if they can get those fights. The name power of their opponents makes them much better risk-reward scenarios. Why face fellow 'nobodies' who are not *that* much less dangerous than some of these vets who are on the wrong side of their prime, right?

Colby did this on his rise up to #1 contender when he knocked off Maia, RDA, and Lawler before getting his first crack at Usman...and after that, he got broken Woodley before his 2nd title shot. It was a great path for him.
