Laura Sanko needs to go.

The reality is Laura took away a spot that should have gone too a woman who fought, or currently fights, in the UFC and it may be another 4-5 years before another opportunity opens up.

Laura had one professional fight in 2013, retired from the sport, and then was hired a few years later as a backstage interviewer for fight nights. She is no more qualified to provide expert insight, which is the purpose of a color commentator, than the PPV backstage interviewer Megan Olivi would be.

Its shameful the UFC continues passing off their sideline reporter as a trailblazer for women in the sport.

shes like the least annoying commentator. nothing of substance? her level of insight is the exact same as the other male fighters maybe except for Cruz, and she is much more articulate than guys like DC and Bisping.

I get what you're saying about she is not critical of anything, that's true, everyone is doing great and amazing and can do no wrong. I think she is so afraid of offending someone. It just comes off very fake to me.

There's so many fights but like I remember Derrick Lewis had an absoutley awful performance against Spivac, he looked really bad from the first seconds, slow and ploddy and got beat so easily and quickly, and Sanko was giving him so much praise during the fight . I was like what is she talking about lol, Derrick was hopeless and flat on his back and tapped quick in that fight. Her commentary just wasn't going along with the actual fight.

I used to like Brian Stann on commentary, I wish he continued doing it, he was the best one they had I think. He was smart and knew the game and was balanced.
I liked <5> as well.

If you wanna cut sanko, cut rogaine/ dc/ bisping first... ohh and mr roboto also and bring back stann.

She was doing commentary in Invicta and DWCS

Bisping is my favorite commentator... so interesting how different People have different tastes

Bisping absolutely is the best commentator. Gives great insights. He just is 120% biased as soon as there is a Brit on screen but that's the only downside.

Sanko sucks terribly and can't give good commentary if her life depended on it but simps are going to simp

Ehh...she's not good but I dont find her awful either. I think prior to fights she (and all of them I guess) don't always give proper perspective. Like yesterday Amorim/Viana they said something like "well both like to grapple and Viana doesn't mind being on her back". And I'm like "LOL what? One is a bjj world champion and probably top 2 WMMA grappler in terms of bjj...the other has a few subs in her career. It's not close, and on the mat it's gonna be a shutout." Aaaaand...yep.

She’s there, informative…? not so much. but also not droaning jackass either like DC and Joe.

I know/remember nothing about her but I think she is good enough. Bar is quite low with that staff.

Sanko is awful as a commentator. Only white knights defend her. But it doesn’t matter because commentary ability is not what got her the job in the first place. It was the lewd and disgusting sexual acts she did for Dana, Joe, Shelby, etc.
She knows more about MMA than you do and that triggers pathetic incels.

The reality is that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Name one female fighter who has done anywhere near the amount of commentary work that Sanko has. Or even one fighter who is a good commrntator.

She is also a lifelong martial artist who just got her black belt in BJJ.

She had literally YEARS of commentary experience before she started doing it in the Contender Series.

See I hear people saying both things on opposite ends of the spectrum about her. A lot of people are saying that she’s way better than Bisping and DC.

Others go as far as saying that she isn’t good at all, and that she should be canned from the commenting desk

Honestly, the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle

She's good enough that no one should really question why she's there, but there are enough excellent commentators out there that she's nothing special.

Basically, she does at least as good a job as you'd expect from someone being paid to do it.

i don't think she's that bad at all. and not true about never being critical, she was bashing pereira for being so inactive the whole fight long (deservedly so). look that's a hard job, no one is ever going to be spot on all the time. there are much worse guys doing it than sanko.

I would make her a ring girl, some guys prefer an older woman, might bring in some more views.
