UFC’s biggest mistake was getting rid of Kenny Florian. Dude was by far the best color commentary guy they had, pair him with Anik and that’s all you need. Three people is overkill, they’re always stepping over each other’s toes.

When Prates started to put it together late in the 4th and was tagging Garry, she seemed to not notice at all. Was literally praising Garry’s defensive effort as he was getting caught clean. Feels like she has no real insights and is largely just agreeing with the narrative others set.

Felder is really the only UFC commentator I enjoy.

I think Sanko does a fine job.

I've said it before...she knows what she is seeing, particularly in the grappling, sometimes more so than the experienced pro fighters she is working with.

Some of the criticism of her is just off the mark. She is not just 100% complimentary (I heard her be politely critical several times last night), she is just very respectful and errs on the side of being positive. I also don't know where anyone gets the idea that she presents her training and fight experience as more than it actually is...?

I actually quite enjoy her with Felder...they tend to be a little more chill than Rogan and DC, for example...but on the whole everyone does a pretty decent job. Even Dom has settled down from previously being overly argumentative and critical.

Exactly. A bunch of commentators need to get cut before we get to Laura. Specifically Rogan, Bisping and Cruz. Their shilling at times is just unbearable.

She's inoffensive to me. She reminds me a bit of Anik. Anik wasn't great when he started but I think he's perfectly fine now. It takes awhile to get your footing and can calm down and be yourself.

Exactly, my hot take was she is less annoying than Anik and he was not the worst. There have been so much worse.

Name one female fighter who has done anywhere near the amount of commentary work that Sanko has. Or even one fighter who is a good commrntator.

She is also a lifelong martial artist who just got her black belt in BJJ.

She had literally YEARS of commentary experience before she started doing it in the Contender Series.

Yes, absolutely. Have you heard any of them do commentary?

I have. Angela Hill is pretty good but her voice is brutal.

Anderson is terrible. Pena is mediocre, and an active fighter.
