The Kremlin said in remarks aired Sunday that the United States' sudden shift in foreign policy "largely aligns" with its own position.

"The new administration is rapidly changing all foreign policy configurations. This largely aligns with our vision," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a reporter from state television.

"There is a long way to go because a lot of damage has been done to the whole complex of bilateral relations. But if the political will of the two leaders, President Putin and President Trump, is maintained, this path can be quite quick and successful," Peskov added

What plan? Not finishing extermination of all Ukrainian men? What’s the average age of a soldier there now? Was 44. Is it 50? Are the loading adult diapers with explosives and sending altzheimers patients into battle?

You would be OK if us withdraws support from Israel to keep your position consistent of avoiding foreign aid and conflict?

Trump has the weakest foreign policy in US history. Amazing that a large number of Americans are happy being a Russian satellite state.

Many Americans will happily trade US hegemony for making open bigotry socially acceptable again. They don't care about foreign policy. A lot of these idiots were voting for Bush and telling people to "love it or leave it" if you weren't a Middle East war loving hawk. Now they have all magically transformed into anti-war isolationists. In fact, they are now so anti-war that they oppose a war that America isn't even fighting. Even though it benefits the aggressor that started the war and hurts the country that is simply defending itself.

And the Russian government that they now defend they once called "socialist" and "marxist." They even once used Russia as a cautionary tale as to why socialism is bad because it will only lead to authoritarian. Also, Trump won't comment if the US would defend Tawain if China invaded.

"I never comment on that," Trump said at the White House. "I don't want to ever put my
self in that position."

Could you imagine if Obama openly did and said these things while in office?

"I wonder how many Americans who consider themselves politically aware could pass a civics test about how our government is supposed to function. I wonder how many Americans who ostensibly talk about politics as part of how they make a living could. Our anti-education/anti-knowledge culture has come for our constitutional society. And people who consider themselves "patriotic" celebrate dismantling the very aspects of our Framer's work that those exquisite-minded guys were most proud of. Co-equal branches of govt and checks and balances. Not bugs...but this system's greatest features. We are a politically hypocritical society and this will cost us. Can you imagine if the Biden/Harris/Hillary Clinton crowd were doing and saying the sort of things Trump is saying now? How many of you Trump fans would be ready to take to the streets? "That's what the 2d Amendment is for Dan"...how many times have I been told that by the "defenders of our Constitution"? For 40 years you've been saying it to me! So...it's only a problem if THEY'RE doing it? One side gets a pass at assaulting the constitutional wall that protects us all, and the other doesn't? How many of you would say "they're only joking" or "don't worry, it's a negotiation position" if Kamala Harris said these things? Serious question. You'd be just fine with it? No big deal? And I'm sure the right-wing talker's ecosystem would be too? All of this is going to come back to bite us. All of it. We are shortsighted, propagandized, political hypocrites. And we simply refuse to apply the same standards to both sides. And while I'm ranting: half of this problem is the fault of the Democratic Party. I've never seen such a toothless, feckless, directionless, passion-free group of poor political candidates in my life (and I was of voting age in the Mondale/Dukakis years). Only their most radical wing shows any passion or life at all...and that's the group that absolutely, positively can't win a general election. When the great historian in the sky writes about this era the "other party" in a two-party system deserves a ton of the blame too. Everyone over 70 years old in that party should resign right now. What Trump is trying to do in our system now is exactly what the Founders designed safeguards to prevent. And that's why Trump is targeting the safeguards."

And the "radical wing" basically just wants shit other 1st world countries have had for decades and that we used to have in this country like higher taxes on the wealthy and corporations and stuff like universal healthcare, which polls well and which every other 1st world nation has.

Instead, we get Romney Care and a few prescription drug prices lowered which was immediately reversed when Trump got into office. Dem leadership effectively knee caps the progressive wing of the party and is apparently clueless of how to fight Trump. Gerriatric Cancer Connelly gets the Oversight Committee spot over AOC.

Good times.

And when China invades Taiwan, you will also prefer us do nothing ?
Was it you that tried this exact same, almost word for word argument against me the other day?

Sending American troops to die for another country should always be the last option we use. I think its honestly kind of gross how many people want US military on the ground vs Russia/China etc. Knowing full well its other people who will die for it, not them.

One has to remember Trump supporters have to be treated like children even on this forum and t even the simplest stuff has to be dumbed down fir them so they can understand some of the more complicated topics .
