KOTS > UFC

Leo should have cut his hair. Or put on a balaclava or something. As for Blood Axe vs Orsu Corsu, again: Blood Axe had to successfully take Corsu down and control him on the ground, before he could finish the fight by eye gouging. He said he was going to do just that by the way at the weigh in face off. That guy fought in Bellator at one point and grew up wrestling so he's not just some brawler.

I remember seeing Leo with his hair open just before the fight started, thinking this is a bad idea.
IMO Oak started pulling Leo's shirt and hair out of desperation, as Leo is tough as hell which makes it OK in some twisted way.

Though what I believe I've observed is that people like Blood Axe, whose gameplan is to go straight for eye pokes, raised the level of violence in KOTS even further.

As many others have said, these are grown men who consent to compete like this so we forfeit the right to complain about what we deem unfair or dirty. Fights like those serve as a reminder that no rules means literally no rules.
That being said, on a spectrum of violence those two fights felt more like liveleak than UFC. I can't stomach seeing a man scream in terror as his opponent rips off his scalp so I've quit watching / supporting.

Leo finishing Blood Axe with soccer kicks in another event was very satisfying.

Oak and Blood Axe are dirty cunts, not sure if they've fought each other yet but I'd like to see it, double tap out do to double eye gouge is my prediction for that fight.

Btw, do you know if there is any other place to watch the fights that are not on you tube, I've see all their you tube content and I'm hungry for more.

Oak and Blood Axe will probably match up next.

Honestly, the skill level is not even that bad. It's not to the level of major mma organizations...but it is still not bad all things considered. Watch a bunch of KOTS fights and you will agree.

Most of these guys are professional fighters with records.

The pseudonyms are a gimmick that adds to the tension, and it does work.

Leo Pla, Eric Olsen, Tomasz Kowalkowski.

Part of the mystique is not always knowing who the fighter actually is.

KOTS used to just tell you, now they obscure it just a touch.

Lots of random thoughts:

-Seems like this if the sort of thing that you train for if you’re worried about getting into one on one street fights.
-I’d be curious how much the fighters get paid.
-Obviously it doesn’t seem like a real sport.
-Was surprised at that second fight with the Brit to see two guys 30 y/o plus as that seemed old to be fighting like this.
-Then saw Eric Olsen from BKB and was surprised to see him get a stoppage win, then watched two of his other fights and…
-Considering how well some of these guys seem to be trained, why fight here?

I mean i think that when I see great fighters in reddit street brawls, it's fuckin dumb, so easy for them to fatally injure someone. This one seems slightly more controlled than a street brawl but it's dirty that's for sure, not sure what I think about it.

KOTS is great. A lot of snowflakes out there though; especially when it comes to eye gouging. "what?! eye gouging?!! in MY King Of The Streets?!!". Listen: what part about "fight with no rounds and no rules" do yal not understand? It is between two consenting grown men, with reasonable stoppages (I would describe the stoppages as later than mainstream mma, but still way more reasonable than old school Felony Fights) and medical staff on hand.

Oh and like you say the production value and footage of the fights actually does put UFC to shame.

Tough tough internet guy

Imagine being so ignorant of film and production and thinking this has better production than the UFC lmao.

I get it, people love to go on here and be like "OMG, the UFC has no fancy lights, fireworks, or dances, the production sucks!" - not knowing how investment and skilled production crew the UFC has. The UFC looks incredibly professional (which is what they're going for) and most MMA orgs do not by comparison.

This looks like someone is filming it on their phone.
UFC is not a real sport either, it’s just prizefighting where things like rankings and fairness don’t really come into play and at the end of the day just comes down to whatever the promoter thinks will make him the most money..
Literally every professional org does the same thing. I dont get what matchmaking has to do with it not being a sport.

Exactly. The vast majority of people are just fine with taking the chance of randomly dieing in car accidents, work accidents, etc and perfectly fine with random people dieing everywhere...but take offense to two consenting grown men agreeing to no rules combat

For real to emphasise this further: i've never been one of those "commute to a major city to go to work every morning" kind of guy. But i've driven on the highways before in early morning rush hour commutes going into a major American city, and I can tell you this: EVERYBODY on that highway during rush hour, is risking their lives' EVERY DAY. And yet they do it without a care in the world tripped out on caffein. And yet get all squimish when consenting grown men fight on concrete.

come on now

I don't think you can really compare the risk level of this to driving your car to work lol.

idk, that guy blew my mind. if it wasnt for him, id have no idea that people get into car accidents. wow, hes right, driving to work to feed your family, which will lead to like one car crash in your life which probably won't be fatal, and agreeing to a brutal street fight for fun is basically the same thing.

there is a lot of hypocrisy in the world, and im glad that guy pointed one major one out.

This promotion seems like it would be only popular with the kind of guys who go looking for fights in everyday life, while claiming everyone else is the asshole

My issue with the UFC is not that they don't have enough gimmicks, it's that there's too much.

Take an average UFC PPV, you get about 10 fights, and assuming at least a few of them don't go to decision, you have maybe a total of 2 hours of actual fight time.

So why the fuck am I sitting through 7 hours of each event with most of it take up by lame advertisement, bullshit commentary, dragged out fighter walkouts, 5 minutes of Bruce Buffer introducing the fighters for each fight, fist bumping, doing 180 degree jumps, some clueless female analyst's lame take, Bisping and DC shilling, what some moron posts on twitter, how much some idiot bet on the fight, and all that other hot garbage I have ZERO interest in.

KOTS is obviously working with a tiny fraction of money, yet they're able to show me all I really care to see, just enough of an intro music, a nice quick fighter intro and staredown, and then it's straight to business.

I hate to be that guy but I gotta say, I've been following combat sports since the late 80's, and I'm at a point where I have no interest in all the fluff and fake beef and shit talk, before, after, repeated promos, this guy is ducking that guy... just childish nonsense I don't give a fuck about, just shut up and get in there and show what you got, and that's what KOTS delivers. Sure the talent is not on the same level, and sure they don't have as much money or fanbase, but it's more real and more entertaining in my opinion.

You sound very brave.

Every man dies, but not every man truly lives, and there is risk of serious injury in just about every contact sport to some degree or another. What these guys do might be stupid to you, what can I say you either get it or you don’t, and obviously you don’t.

Just watched it all, damn the Leo that fought Oak looked nothing like the Leo that wrecked Blood Axe. I heard about the hair pulling and expected it to be the only reason he lost, but Oak actually stood and boxed with him for the vast majority of the fight, and Leo had nothing, looked gassed after a minute, and yeah having a loose t shirt and his hair down like that vs a guy known for being dirty was very stupid.

Blood Axe vs Orsu Corsu didn't really deliver either, Eric was looking for the eye gouging as soon as he got him down, fucken dirty bastard, I know there are no rules but still...

Yeah, Oak vs Blood Axe will be interesting.

Well how do you think a real fight would go? No one stops to take their shoes off in the real world.
Throwing kicks in pumps, now that would be something!
Insert picture.. somewhere here. Way to big. Oh I fixed it!
