KOTS > UFC

I quit watching KOTS after I made the mistake of buying their last PPV.

2 fights, in the first one a guy with long hair literally got scalped.
The second one ended after a minute which consisted of an entire thumb in someone's eye socket.

Their production value is insane and these lost place type locations and crowd give it a great vibe.
But it seems nowadays it's more gore than fighting.
Plus I see way too many neo nazis on their events

Leo should have cut his hair. Or put on a balaclava or something. As for Blood Axe vs Orsu Corsu, again: Blood Axe had to successfully take Corsu down and control him on the ground, before he could finish the fight by eye gouging. He said he was going to do just that by the way at the weigh in face off. That guy fought in Bellator at one point and grew up wrestling so he's not just some brawler.

It's like watching low level MMA fighters beat the shit out of hobbyists and tough guys and other low level MMA fighters. Also people will die getting knocked out on concrete.
Sure, and some people will die in a car accident on their way to work today and some will go to sleep and just never wake up

I like sports, not violence. Dudes will be dudes though, so if it works for them so be it.

Exactly. The vast majority of people are just fine with taking the chance of randomly dieing in car accidents, work accidents, etc and perfectly fine with random people dieing everywhere...but take offense to two consenting grown men agreeing to no rules combat

For real to emphasise this further: i've never been one of those "commute to a major city to go to work every morning" kind of guy. But i've driven on the highways before in early morning rush hour commutes going into a major American city, and I can tell you this: EVERYBODY on that highway during rush hour, is risking their lives' EVERY DAY. And yet they do it without a care in the world tripped out on caffein. And yet get all squimish when consenting grown men fight on concrete.

come on now

I like the focus on realistic fight stages. Fights can happen anywhere. But what if a fight breaks out in a swimming pool? In line at the DMV? A ball pit? They should incorporate these real-life scenarios into their production.

Can't embed but I present to you Korean KOTS in a pool lol

UFC is not a real sport either, it’s just prizefighting where things like rankings and fairness don’t really come into play and at the end of the day just comes down to whatever the promoter thinks will make him the most money..

There are rules within the cage, thus the fighters are participating in a sport. I don't care about the promotion or Dana.

Any agreed upon competition between two consenting men is a "sport". For that matter the entire purpose of "sport" is for men to be able to compete with each other without downright killing each other.

Technically, King Of The Streets is a "sport". It is between two consenting grown men; it has refs to stop the fight; and it has medical staff on site.

It these guys wanna do this shit for very little financial gain, sure. I don't have much desire to watch it (the skill level is trash) but if others like it, in the end it's an agreed upon contest.

Honestly, the skill level is not even that bad. It's not to the level of major mma organizations...but it is still not bad all things considered. Watch a bunch of KOTS fights and you will agree.

Have to agree to disagree. I do not view this as a sport. Copied right from their site:

Fight with no rules and no rounds.
• Only the winner will get the prize money.

Ok. Those are just the rules of the competition. Two consenting grown men agree to them. They them compete according to the consented rules - or lack thereof in this case - until one of them is either incapacitated, taps, or is verbally tapping via screaming (via something like an eye gouge or something). A referee will them stop the fight. There is then on-site medical staff to take care of the fighters.

Sounds like a sport to me. a bloodsport, sure. but a sport nonetheless.

some people will die in a car accident on their way to work today some will go to sleep and just never wake up
Some will die in hot pursuit Fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche Coming down the mountain

For anybody saying they will not watch because they don't want to see people get hurt so badly: that is MORE reason to watch. My logic is that if grown men are going to consent to no rules combat on concrete, then I might as well watch it. Those men are putting their very lives at risk; I might as well watch.
