KOTS > UFC

Its just felony fights with better production

Honestly the best combat entertainment is somewhere between that and today's UFC... Basically MMA circa 2003-2014 or so

There is no skill when biting, fish hook, eye gouging, nut shots are allowed. It just goes to lowest skill high damage techniques.

Today's UFC is far removed from fighting. It's just sport fighting barley batter than tkd point fighting with wrestling so it's boring.

Mma golden era was high skilled martial arts, high level athleticism and fighting combined

And Pride & K1 had the best production value of all time

I quit watching KOTS after I made the mistake of buying their last PPV.

2 fights, in the first one a guy with long hair literally got scalped.
The second one ended after a minute which consisted of an entire thumb in someone's eye socket.

Their production value is insane and these lost place type locations and crowd give it a great vibe.
But it seems nowadays it's more gore than fighting.
Plus I see way too many neo nazis on their events

Of course the UFC fighters are at a much higher level, which is why they are earning real money, and getting real exposure.

But damn, as a fight fan I must say the KOTS production and entertainment puts UFC to shame.

This is a European promotion, and I know in the States there's stuff like Street Beefs, etc... but honestly after watching KOTS, Street Beefs looks kinda weak and silly to me.

Never heard of this - and I'm hoping the name is a purposeful homage to Marco Ruas - but that was a hell of a fight. I love the rawness but without sacrificing skill.

When UFC says "as real as it gets", it's just talk... this is as real as it gets...

I don't follow current UFC content much, but have they actually said this in the last 10-15 years? That's an old slogan.

(mods, please don't move this thread right away, a lot of MMA fans here are always looking for more fights to watch and I don't see threads about this promotion on any of the forums here so I'm assuming a lot of members don't know about it)

Well its raw, lots of football hooligans...to me the main problem remains fighting on a concrete ground...for obvious reason. That being said, nobody seems to be dead yet so..

Do they do it on concrete floors? That's retarded if they do.
If you’re lucky it’s a concrete floor, sometimes it’s on asphalt with little pebbles raking your back as soon as you end of on the bottom.

It’s not retarded if you think about what they’re trying to do. It’s supposed to be as close as it possibly can be to an actual street encounter… I mean it’s in the name for fuck sales, king of the STREET.

The only two rules are basically no weapons and no one jumps in.

Sometimes I wonder if they’ve had a casualty or two where they had to dump someone in a river and delete the video… I mean yeah obvious reasons but it’s either real like that, or it’s just another point fighting promotion with padded and controlled environment like every other org. The realism is what separates them from the rest.

I understand the realism angle but someone's going to die at some point and I don't want to see that.

You won’t see it, if someone dies I’m sure they won’t release the video of that particular fight.

I wouldnt say the production is great, looks like its displayed on an IG filter. There's a reason why real professional leagues don't use that odd lighting, it looks amateurish.

There is more to production than gimmicks.

Eh. Entertaining but stupid as shit, will almost certainly lead to a death and just like BKFC its participated in by guys who cant make it on the big show. Massive risks for zero prestige or respect.

It's actually very rare, most guys don't do it even when they have a chance. I've seen it like twice in over 50 fights I've watched.

This first fight I posted was a great fight, although I wasn't a fan of Hooi spitting in Abner's face for no good reason during the fight, but no rules means no rules.

True, I've never been eye gouged or gotten low blows in a fight, even when some dudes ganged me up like 5vs1 and you'd they they wouldn't care about honor at all. Think in a way it's self-preservation too: if you gouge or kick the balls or try to you can expect it coming right back at you.

Yeah, I think 99% of the participants go by the unwritten rule of no eye gouging, but there is a few who did it, especially that American douche bag blood axe who is kind of known for it it.

Hooi booi repeatedly spitting in Abner’s face was mind-boggling to me though, there seem to be absolutely nothing to gain by it, there was no bad blood between them and Abner was fighting a clean fight.

It was especially weird considering that of all the fighters Hooi booi has a ton of pro MMA fights, including in KSW and Bellator, so one would imagine that he had a bit more honor, but it is what it is I guess. Too bad because he’s a great fighter at least by Street fighting standards and I lost a lot of respect for him there.

I think he was just used to dominating there and looked a bit salty that Abner put him on his ass with that counter left hook early in the fight, and then ended up being so tough to put away and made him fight for like 15 minutes.

nah ive never liked shit like this. too much brawl and not enough technique.

i prefer BKFC if i need some blood. theres enough technique involved where it doesnt feel like two dudes just scrapping in a parking lot.

Shit's brutal lol.

I like the camera movement better though, more raw and puts you right in the action.
UFC is like watching a film a bit.
