At some point I binge watched all KOTS videos online. Has its fair share of pros and cons, but it is unfiltered violence and while not for everyone, mma fans should give it a cursory glance.
To me its the continuity of the current hooligan scene in Europe, in germany or poland for exemple, where everything is extremely organized. It was not my thing when i used to follow my club, its not my thing now. To a certain extent, you always have a degree of organization and a set of rules (though minimal), in a warehouse like kots or in a cage, even in the streets with some of the hools.Sometimes I wonder if they’ve had a casualty or two where they had to dump someone in a river and delete the video… I mean yeah obvious reasons but it’s either real like that, or it’s just another point fighting promotion with padded and controlled environment like every other org. The realism is what separates them from the rest.
I know every street fight I've ever been in the first thing we look for is a caged area where the spectators can't get in.Well how do you think a real fight would go? No one stops to take their shoes off in the real world.
Only some off their events take place in a caged off area, and some real fights break out in a schoolyard surrounded with chain link fence so not that uncommon.I know every street fight I've ever been in the first thing we look for is a caged area where the spectators can't get in.
“Why don’t we have any stars in this sport?”
Because they’re all gonna be blind or severely disabled before they have a chance to become famous. Maybe they’ll be famous for that though.
Honestly, the eye gouging is pretty rare, I’ve seen blatant eye gouging in like two fights out of all the KOTS scraps I watched.“Why don’t we have any stars in this sport?”

They actually do a lot of different scenarios including a hockey rink, rooftop, tunnel, etc…I like the focus on realistic fight stages. Fights can happen anywhere. But what if a fight breaks out in a swimming pool? In line at the DMV? A ball pit? They should incorporate these real-life scenarios into their production.
…On top of a stone bridge, over a pit of spikes? The possibilities are endless. They actually do a lot of different scenarios including a hockey rink, rooftop, tunnel, etc…
Throw in a few alligators under the bridge and you’re onto something.…On top of a stone bridge, over a pit of spikes? The possibilities are endless.
For sure. But I’m not even just talking about the fights themselves, the whole set up and production and build up and ambient is so much more impressive in KOTS. Whoever does their editing and music and all that is better than anyone in the UFC or even Pride has ever had. Just no fluff and no nonsense, a quick intro and then they get right to the point.
And sure I understand that the big Fight promotions are trying to cater to a wider range of fans, while KOTS is really for a very niche audience who really have the stomach for that level of violence.
You are clearly a gentleman as well as a scholar.
