If you’ve got a little free time why not become a double champ in the UFC?I'm not, and I'm not joining powerslap or getting kicked in the nuts for youtube clicks either.

two cans and a gatekeeper, whatever. he wasn't considered top level back then, and no one on planet earth thought izzy was going to give away a fight like that.So the current champ who was taken apart in 1 minute with ease by Pereira was a "can".
You have no credibility.

You guys are still coping from the beating Ngannou gave to your champ? Then, you must still be hurting pretty bad, little man.
Anyway, nobody in MMA ever says that. Lesnar became the champ with a 2-1 record. In MMA a white belt can knock out a black belt in BJJ. That's the beauty of the sport. This is not new.
On the other hand, it's you "boxing fans" the ones that say that about boxing. How the elite there are so special that nobody from outside could beat them. There is a common saying in boxing that "you need to start boxing as a kid if you want to reach the top in boxing" because of how "competitive" it supposedly is
I'm sorry your sport lost that mistique after Ngannou exposed that to be bullshit. I know you are hurting for it and angry at MMA because of it but at some point you guys needed to open your eyes.
Boxing is a niche sport. Just like MMA. This ain't the 70's anymore. Boxing is shallow as fuck these days. Deal with it.
A person who specialises in ONE martial art, dominating MIXED martial arts, does. I agree with OP.Martial artists being good at mixed martial arts makes the sport look bad?
Um, they all had a form of martial arts training. As it's mixed martial arts, they already had some training. and actually Brock was a specialist in one and Izzy in another. It was pretty embarrassing for boxing when their HW champ just had a split decision with an MMA fighter who'd never boxed before, and the GOAT boxer took some damage, lost rounds and needed 10 rounds against another MMA fighter who'd never boxed before.
The same way boxers always called their sport "the sweet science" and were convinced it takes years of dedication to get good at, MMA fans like to pretend MMA is too difficult to cross over and you'd get exposed if you were "1 dimensional". Nope, turns out it doesn't take much time at all for someone who's big and athletic to cancel out your years of training.
Lesnar showed up from WWE in his 30s with no MMA background and just a collegiate wrestling career 8 years before, and was champ within 8 months of his UFC debut.
Around the same time, Jon Jones had no MMA training and just had junior college wrestling before failing out and living in his GF's parents' basement, and turned pro about the same time he started training and was in the UFC within 4 months beating a bunch of veterans and becoming champ.
Cro Cop was a pro kickboxer just from kicking a heavy bag in his garage, then turned pro in MMA and was a top guy in no time.
Adesanya was a kickboxer who wasn't even the best at that, and didn't even train any grappling until he was already a pro.
Pereira had a kickboxing career until his mid 30s and just came over with no wrestling matches or grappling competitions and has won belts in 2 divisions within 10 fights.
Yes, I agree with you. The sport has been declining for decades and right now it's an absolute joke and TS is mad at Ngannou and MMA because of it but it's not their fault. Did you know that there were more boxers registered in New York in 1925 that in the entire world in 2005? Boxing used to be really big, now it's not. All those quotes of the sport being competitive were made back then because they were true. But now, boxing is a joke. A 0-0 MMA fighter just beat the shit out of their champ. Boxing fans are coping however they caneven the 70s boxers were just juiced to the gills. real fighters look like this:
This. The original intent of the UFC was to determine the best fighting style. Well, it was really the Gracie's seeking to prove that BJJ was the best fighting style but I digress. What has been proven over time is that there is no best style. We've seen great fighters from a variety of different disciplines. But it has been proven that if you're woefully deficient in any particular area you're gonna have a hard time.

I'm the one who said boxing isn't a real sport, dummy. You guys are still coping from the beating Ngannou gave to your champ? Then, you must still be hurting pretty bad, little man.

Brock wasn't like some Olympic gold medalist, he was a college wrestler, and it was 8 years before, with no striking or submission training.Um, they all had a form of martial arts training. What hasn't happened is a boxer come to MMA with success.
