Tons of MMA media have picked up on Ali's dark history. Why is someone like that allowed to manage both sides of a title fight on the biggest stage? 100% something shady is going on.

Taktarov Known for being a bitter and drunken old man, no surprise here.
A lot of people does not consider him being a UFC champion (as he won a tournament and it's not the same, and he consider himself as one), and he always portraying himself as one, and likes comparing himself to past and current popular Russian MMA fighters.
All fights that he lost (except the Goodridge one when he was actually unconscious) he was upset at the referee for not letting him "die" in the cage.

The are rumours that his fight against Anthony Macias was a fixed one, as they both shared the same manager, and Manager thought that Oleg has better chance of winning the tournament, and in order to win fast (that Oleg won't be tired for next one), he made a deal with Anthony.
He is a condescending, bitter old fart. He's opinion not really relevant.

I can totally see him bitter.

Back in the day, he used to brag about how special he was being chosen to be in a movie out of 2,000 actors and chosen not because of his looks but his acting ability. There's also a story of him intimidating a video-store clerk into allowing him entrance after they'd already closed and were cleaning up.

You can tell he always got what he could through bullying and he's so vain, he can't stand a Muslim Dagestani is stealing 100% of the rare Russian prestige associated with MMA. Oleg is an afterthought, nobody really, truly thinks of him. I know his career very well but I'm not a fan favorite, now comes Khabib and all the Russians from the past get lost in the dust, I can see the frustration and Oleg's desire at relevancy.
 
Yea, a fighter who just brutally finished Tony Ferguson, was willing to throw a fight and jeopardize his own star power. You don’t walk into a fight that you might lose years off your life from, win, and then throw your next fight. Oleg was a bad dude in his day, but this is pathetic.

No, the ref would absolutely be in on it. Every possible variable would be accounted for when the stakes are that high, and it would cost a fraction to buy off some ref compared to what it would to buy a real fighter's integrity. If said ref ever tried to whistleblow he'd be bled dry in court.

Because gaetje and khabib have the same manager. The ref doesn't need to know, does he? You're quite wrong about buying everybody off, thats not how it works. You don't share a secret with 50 people with the backup plan of bleeding them dry in court. Why would you risk all that court money and liability for no reason? The ref is gonna react to the tap either way- he has to.

Also, there's absolutely no way this was actually a fix, but if it was, the ref would not be in on it - ylu must have watched a lot of professional wrestling
 
Justin was not outraged by the strange weighing of Khabib, Justin never hit Khabib in the face well, Justin laughed after losing (Poirier cried). Abdel Aziz before this fight said that Khabib would end his career not defeated!

 
Oleg has been talking shit for some time now. He is jealous of khabib, and says he is the 1st russian champ etc. I thought they actually squashed it when Oleg went to khabib's gym and hung out with his dad etc. Iike oleg or at least used to, but he is whining quite a bit as of late, and acting like a bitch. Its sad really, but when Khabib became so popular he has been acting like a scalded ex wife looki g for revenge. Sad as fuck.

What the hell does their manager have to do with the ref being aware there's a work happening? Fights, even a fantasy choreographed one, are extremely chaotic; action happens you can't anticipate even if it's a choreographed sequence. It is very reasonable an assumption and probable to assume the ref is in on the fix, much more so than believing Dana and the gang will just leave it to chance that some unexpected shit doesn't happen and the person with all the judicial power in the moment doesn't make the "wrong call".

Told y'all UFC is fixed. McGregor wins were all fixed. His losses, well, they tried. Bisping, GSP, etc. All got fixes. Jones, Lesnar, etc. Even moving states last min. UFC is fake. Just WWE type entertainment trollol

Why is Dana in on it? This is a work amongst the two fighters and their manager . Money might not even be on the table, maybe jts more about assuring the stable of fighters under ali abdelaziz are maximally organized for titleshots, etc. Or, maybe a large wager was made. I dont see why Dana would be in on it, or the ref.

And how does the ref being in on jt help with the chaos? What's he gonna do? Call phantom groin strikes to pause the action? What's the purpose of having him involved?

And yes, this is an absolutely pointless argument. I dont think either of us have a dog jn this fight. Neither of us seem stupid enough to believe this conspiracy.
