Kevin Lee Exposes UFC for Handpicking Chinny Old Cerrone for Conor's Tuneup Fight

lol at anybody that thought TriStar would mature Kevin Lee. Same old Lee. Not even a year ago Cerrone destroyed the guy (Iaquinta) who destroyed Lee. Conor was in a no win situation.
 
FKL disrespecting Cowboy like he's some world beater now?
 
I'm sure he thinks he should have gotten that fight. Cerrone being a great match up for Conor had something to do with it, but he also he at least was a huge fan favorite. Lee needs a PR coach, because he seems to turn a lot of people off.
 
Everyone knows what this fight was. We are in the same place we were prior to this fight. We don’t know how good Conor is or if he can compete with the top guys.

You can see that the UFC does not have a whole lot of confidence in Conor which is why this meaningless fight was set up in the first place.

People said he should have Fought Cerrone instead of Nate back when Cerrone was coming off of getting starched by RDA in rd 1 and Conor was on a huge win streak. Now they were both coming off losses and all the sudden it's a tailor made matchup and easy fight for Conor?? I don't get it lol.
 
Lee will get crucified for admitting the truth but we all know it. Cowboy was the biggest "Name" the UFC could put out there to make Conor look like Mike Tyson. Casuals recognize "Cowboy Cerrone" without realizing he'd lost 6 of his previous 10 fights and been stopped in 5 of them. Conor just made it 6 out of 11.

Really? You can't grasp that things change in 4 years and Cerrone was still in fight shape when Conor needed a short notice opponent? Instead the UFC does what it always does for Conor and tried to give him an easy fight with Cabo-Nate. It backfired.
 
Well, I guess we know who's fighting Cerrone next.
 
Conor was coming off a loss and so was Cowboy. It was a fun matchup for Conor’s return and Cowboy deserved the opportunity, it’s just good business. Kevin’s acting entitled, he hasn’t done nearly as much in or for the UFC, and you guys agree with him because you want Conor to fall on his face.

Nah casuals (most Conor's fan) really thinks that Conor just beat an elite fighters and not a carreer gatekeeper on a losing streak.

That does not remotely change what Kevin is saying.

Of course, in context we know that Cowboy is coming off recent back to back stoppage losses. Tony mutilated his face and then JG knocked him out badly in the first round. All in he's been KO'd fairly frequently in recent years, and his turnaround time from his previous first round KO loss was too soon.

Cowboy was picked to fall over in the first round because he had done it 5 times in the past, now 6. This isn't rocket science.

Kevin Lee for his part took a very challenging matchup with Gregor, despite being on his own two fight skid. So he booked against an undefeated, 6-0 UFC wrestler who nobody wanted to fight. He's clearly willing to put himself out there.

And it took Justin 4:18 to do it, while absorbing 17 shots and letting Cowboy fire off 52.

Meanwhile Conor did it in 40 seconds, while absorbing 0 shots and letting Cowboy fire off 1. Which was immediately countered for the KO.
 
It’s funny how many of you are upset that Conor’s win over Cowboy is being considered spectacular, yet Sherdog will run any loss he takes into the ground as the most life shattering embarrassment, it’s like that for almost all fighters on here. There should be more of a middle ground with W’s/L’s because it’s just a sport, but that’s the mma world we’re living in and we all know it.
 
Kevin lee was getting rocked and taunted by raging Al. I don’t think he has merit to talk shit about Conor.
