Comparing potential to a fully formed and born human being in terms of constitutional rights is intellectually misguided.

I’m not sure you understand. There’s no doubt that someone who has been born is a person with full constitutional rights. Even if that person is old, infirm, or on life support. A fetus is just what you said—potential. And trying to act like they are equivalent is intellectually dishonest, just like you said.

Even that's not a really great framing. It's a bigger issue when your wife, GF, daughter, friend miscarries and doesn't pass that tissue naturally (which is very common) and develops a massive septic infection that the hospital refuses to treat properly because even though it's non-viable and has no signs of life, legal doesn't want to risk legal consequences.

About 20% of pregnancy is non-viable. And people who desperately wanted a kid now not only have that heart break to deal with, but they can't get proper medical care, and their governor is calling them a murderer, and people on Fox are saying they killed a baby so they can wear a bikini at spring break.

It's genuinely psychotic.

It's 21 weeks and babies have survived being born at that term. So just be honest what you are really saying is its ok to kill the baby at anytime. You want to try and justify and make yourself feel better about it by saying it's not a baby that's all.

I'm not against abortion with restrictions on reasons and time limits. It's a necessary evil not something to celebrate. In certain situations it should be available.
