Media Kamaru Usman sends mysterious tweet following Belal/Shavkat being called off

I said it would have to be for the INTERIM title because as I already said, the UFC ONLY does title fights as PPV headliners now. If it's not a fight for the undisputed or the Interim it is not headlining a PPV card unless it's Conor Vs someone.
Oh you said so? Oh shit. Now it’s official. Thank you so much for your officially saying so.

Dude.. seriously? There hasn't been a non title fight headlining a PPV card in over 10+ years with the exception of Conor. Just because something isn't officially said does not mean it isn't true, especially when there's a trend that shows it is. If you go to your favorite restaurant every day for a year and a menu item is only on the menu on Friday and not the other day's, do you REALLY need an official statement to believe that the menu item is only available Fridays? comon man..

It’s not for a title. Belal just won the title. That makes no sense.
Nothing I’ve read has indicated it is for any title.

Perhaps Shavkat's manager is currently negotiating with the UFC. I think it's 50/50 whether 310 is headlined with either a Shavkat interim title fight or Pereira vs Ankalaev.

Who else deserves it over him other than JDM and possibly Leon? No one. JDM is injured and Leon just fought so Usman is rightfully the only other guy who makes sense cause it certainly isn't Ian who had a mid performance against MVP or Sean Brady who beat a declined Burns. and certainly not fucking Colby again. Usman may not be the first choice as to who rightfully should be fighting Shavkat in an eliminator but he's the ONLY choice right now.
Usman is the "only choice" only if you put a bunch of blinders on. Who deserves it more? Anyone off a win. JDM might be recovered enough to go so he's easily in front of Usman. And Leon "just" fought 3 months ago and there's still another month until this fight, which is plenty of time. He didn't get knocked out and concussed or anything. There is ZERO argument Usman should be in front of him. As far as "mid performances" go, Usman has has less than mid performances in 3 fights, considering none of them ended up as wins. You know, that thing that Garry and Brady have been doing.

I never skipped over Leon. I mentioned him but he just fought recently in July so it's unlikely he'd want to fight again short notice, not to mention Leon vs anyone isn't exactly the first thing you'd turn to to save a card. Leon is not an exciting fighter, his last fight against Colby was boring as shit and he spent 5 rounds getting dumped on his head and wrestle fucked by Belal cause he couldn't get out of first gear. I doubt the UFC would make Leon vs Shavkat over Usman vs Shavkat even if the former was the right the thing to do cause the former would not sell PPV's like the latter would..
"I didn't skip him. I just completely eliminated him as a choice for no reason. Now let me explain why he should be skipped with a bunch of stuff I won't apply to Usman. But again, he's not being skipped."

No one wants to see that. Shavkat vs Brady or Gary.
This would probably make the most sense

I think he'll probably win the belt at some point (and tbh he's the only WW with any star power at present) but even still I think his ranking isn't backed up by his record yet.

He beat Magny, Wonderboy and /Neal, so the current 15, 11 and 10 ranked guys. Makes more sense for him to beat Garry or Brady or someone first, but guessing Dana wants to capitalise on the interest in him while he's still there.

He fought twice last year but not at all this year - if Dana make Shavkat vs Garry then having Champ Shavkat might need to wait until late 2025, by which time people will have stopped caring

There going to give it to Usman because they think he will lose, they should let a younger fighter step in to balance the fact Shavkat skipped the line. Buckley seems so interesting to me for some reason but the UFC would never do it.

Does Leon even want to fight, no way he is taking this one?

Usman hasn’t fought for a year. Why even consider this. Give the Cuck a chance. Hopefully Shavkat smashes him.

Riiight "anyone off a win". So Ian Garry who barely beat MVP deserves it? Sean Brady who beat up the worst version of Burns we've seen deserves it? Come on dude. Also I never said JDM was in front of Usman but he's been out for a while now due to injury. Coming off of an injury like he had and taking a short notice fight against a guy like Shavkat is just not the very likely option to happen here. Not impossible, but very unlikely. Where did Usman have less than 3 mid performances in 3 fights? He lost to Khamzat via Majority decision, he lost to Leon in the rematch via Majority decision, and he was going to win unanimous decision, winning 4 rounds out of 5 against Leon up until the head kick in the final moments of the 5th. Losing doesn't always mean a mid or terrible performance, just as winning doesn't always mean a great or even good performance. Usman lost his last 3 but he still had a better showing in those losses than Leon did in his last 3. Leon was getting his ass kicked in the fight he beat Usman, Leon let Colby steal a round off him, cause "why not?" and Leon couldn't even get out of 1st gear against Belal and was getting dropped on his head for 5 rounds only choosing to do anything of note in the final moments of the 5th.

You can't do an interim title unless Belal is going to be out for 6+ months. He just fought like 3 months ago. It would be insanely bad optics for the UFC to do an interim title.

I’ll take Shavkat against anyone … so if that keeps him I the card - no problem

Shavkat beats usman no issues

You're overthinking it, it's an interim title fight. They can play a little looser with it. I'd say "anyone coming off a win in the top 10" isn't outrageous. You're forgetting they had Curtis Blaydes fight for an interim title off of one win after Pavlovich nuked his ass. Also don't forget Sean Strickland getting an undisputed title shot fresh off a win over the unranked Abus Magomedov.
