Illia makes even less sense than Usman. Illia has zero defenses to his name, why tf would the UFC let him move up? Yea if Ian beats belal it should be Ian IMO but if Ian wins in a boring ass way later today they'll probably end up giving it to Usman, especially if Islam pushes for it.

Because Ilia is an undefeated two division champion including the weight class Islam was champion in. Because the betting line between Ilia and Islam would be a lot closer than Usman and Islam

LOL, come on. How is there any indication Dana hates him? Shavkat was given a title shot vs Belal, to which Belal pulled out so he fought Garry. Then the UFC gives him another title shot at Belal and he can't make the fight due to injury. He's got one fight in two years and been inactive. I don't think the UFC will just reward him for that. Has nothing to do with hating him, he's been favored over other fighters.

That still doesn't make Illia moving up to fight Islam make anymore sense. Illia has contenders to defend against, Islam has contenders to fight against, them fighting now from a sporting perspective makes as little sense as Islam vs Usman does.

Also him saying outright he wants to win the title, then move up and then retire isn't helping his case at all.
