Media Kamaru Usman feels that he's gonna get a title shot: "with all due respect, this is entertainment" (odds say he could be right)

The UFC doesn't care about Abdelazizi getting paid, they care about a good WW fight

Kamarus like 40, 1-3 in his last 4, turtleneck, shit eating grin, not entertaining, not an interesting fight

If they want a WW that can grapple AND is relevant its gotta be Shavkat

Feed Kamaru to JDM or Prates, for the people

Marty Oldman is a year away from bilateral knee replacements. Does he really need the money that badly?

Pls go Marty
this ^^ are they running out stars.. no fresh meat??? i think big county could come back and make a run too lol

"With all due respect" fuck this fight
fuck usman
Fuck fuckin Ali that little cocksmoking deformed head Rat

I don't ever want to hear about Islam's "legacy" if he goes thru with this joke of a staged free title defense instead of fighting any one of the half dozen or so actual active contenders.

People should be throwing shit at these guys everywhere they go, booing them anywhere they appear in public and dumping dogshit on their cars if this fight gets booked.

As much as I hate to say it he's not exactly wrong. The Paramount deal starts next year and the UFC is going to want to have the best selling fights they can put on in their first year to prove to Paramount they made the right choice. As much as it's understandable why we don't want Usman fighting for a TS without at least one more win, the reality is Morales is too green to get a TS so soon and isn't really a name yet so the chances of him getting next shot is low and they may want to build him a bit more. Shavkat has been out too long so they are likely going to give him a tune up before giving him the TS to get people talking about him again and to build hype. This only leaves Ian, Prates, Belal and Usman as potential challengers. Even if Belal beats Ian tomorrow it won't matter cause it's Belal and they aren't going to give him another shot again most likely, then there's Prates who I very much doubt gets a TS off finishing Leon since Brady didn't, so realistically it's either Usman or Ian (granted he wins tomorrow) and because Ian is more or less a boring point fighting decision machine it's more than likely the UFC pushes Usman into an undeserved TS cause he's the biggest name and will put on the most exciting fight between the 2.

It helps when you and the champion have the same manager

" I really hate that man"

First thing that comes to mind when i see this guy

It is heading that direction it seems. Although if Garry can find a way to be super impressive tomorrow in a victory over a former champion, combined with willingness to talk might be able to weasel his way into the spot instead. Plus the ufc are probably big fans of his willingness to take big fights on short notice. They remember that stuff when thinking about what it would be like to work with you if you became champion.

He might. But I don't think Islam is fighting until May/June/July at the earliest. Plenty of time for Ilia Topuria to beat Paddy, and then move up to 170. If so, Usman loses this fight.

And if Garry beats Belal by KO, Islam probably fights Ian Garry.

I'd argue long odds here for Usman to actually get the fight, but definitely possible.

Do Ian if he wins or Ilia then. Usman makes zero sense.

It's a fun fight, but unless he's a backup or takes it at the last minute, or no one else is available, I can't see how the UFC would possibly justify it. Guys like him have got title shots before, but there was always something more to it.

I also don't like his p4p Vs p4p nonsense, he is nowhere near p4p number 1 and we basically had what he's talking about with Volk Vs Islam

It’s literally not an exciting fight. I couldn’t be any less hyped for this. It’s a waste of a title defence. Free Legacy for Islam.

If IAn wins its going to be hard to deny him a shot as he beat Prates. I know that does not matter but it kind of does if Ian beats the guy Islam refuses to fight AND beat the guy who is supposed to to be the "new killer". Ian beat Prates, deal with it

Usman is an easy win for Islam but I am not sure anyone is not an easy win for him. Ugh, weird situation just like Middleweight

edit: This is a HUGE fight, possibly the biggest on the card

Illia makes even less sense than Usman. Illia has zero defenses to his name, why tf would the UFC let him move up? Yea if Ian beats belal it should be Ian IMO but if Ian wins in a boring ass way later today they'll probably end up giving it to Usman, especially if Islam pushes for it.
