That's almost highway speed, no way it was a residential area.

I do think DUIs are not taken anywhere seriously enough in this country and so if there's one thing they've dug up on Walz that made me think twice its the DUI.

I don’t know that a dui from 30 years ago is that big of a deal.
A lot of people giving him crap over it have driven drunk I guarantee. Most people who consume alcohol have.

I hold it against him because I personally think that despite how normalized it is, its one of the worst and most irresponsible things a person can do in their day to day life. That said I am in the minority on this point and I suspect most Americans, especially the part of the base Walz is trying to pick up, won't care.

Apparently the last few presidents have all been teetotalers and Kamala would be the first to not be one in a while. I prefer a teetotaler POTUS but again I suspect I am in the minority on that.

Theres a few sides too it Imo. ( if ive gotten the time lines correct) My respect for someone and there responsibility level is extremely low for a 30 + year old high school teacher / coach / member of the military . Honestly don't know how he kept his job and ranks.

The otherside Is I guess it's a story of success in making a mistake and it not ruining his life for ever..... but thousands of perpetrators or dui and victims of dui never get that. So that also leaves me a touch jaded.
