That wasn't my point at all. What I'm saying is it doesn't matter if Usman wants to start fast or start slow, he is still getting ragdolled in the first round, and if he starts fast he would only tire himself out more. He has nothing for Khamzat's grappling while they're both fresh, so being patient and weathering the early storm is his best option. If he was too aggressive in that first round, he would have either given up his neck, got tkod, or tired himself trying to fight back too much. Usman says he could have won the 3 rounder if he started faster, I'm saying it would have went even worse for him.
Basically he is losing the first round to Khamzat regardless of his approach
