JURASSIC WORLD v.2 (Dragonlord's Review)

Movie was extremely meh and SUPER predictable. I predicted the ending months ago. Literally down to EXACTLY how it played out.

The CGI sucked.

Better than 3. About on par with 2. Not even close to 1.

Couldn't be happier about Trevorrow not directing another. His style was very bland and uninspired.

Where the fuck was the Spino?

This movie blew. When Jake Johnson is the best part of a dinosaur movie something is wrong.

I can't believe how dumb this movie was. Yeah, the trailers told me, but still.

Couldn't stand the little kid. A 10 year old that acts like he's 6. Preferred the kid from the first Jurassic Park.

Movie was seriously disappointing. I'm glad I didn't see it in IMAX.

The mystique and wonder is truly dead.

I actually thought the older kid was a lot worse. Pissed for the sake of being pissed. The younger one was more likable but they were both handled poorly.

Why the fuck does there need to be kids in these movies anyways? You know their lives are ruined after being on the brink of death and watching multiple people get eaten right in front of their faces.

Solid 8. Where the characters fell short the Dinos made it up and then some.

There are definitely some head scratchers in terms of plot and character actions but they don't detract much from the experience.

Ending was awesome.

seen it yesterday was good im happy i wasn't disappointed

I love how they don't hold back on the deaths, women get mauled by gigantic sea dinosaurs and shit. It's almost a horror movie, I gave it an 8.

I loved it. It could have been all Dino's for I cared. They were the real stars of the film.

I agree. And you also know 100% that they will survive. No suspense whatsoever.

That one shocked me. She got picked apart and thrown the air and then dropped into the big dino's tank to be picked apart some more before finally just being swallowed whole while being attacked. Absolutely brutal death for a character that had done nothing wrong.

Since when does a character have to offend common sensibility in order to get brutalized? Have you ever seen a horror movie before?

This isn't a horror movie though. It's an adventure movie with mass appeal. That's why I was agreeing with the post. It had very horror movie like deaths for this kind of film. Samuel L and Muldon died in the first movie but you didn't really see either. You fully see the D-Rex eat the one security guard.

Yeah, that's another thing I didn't like. The brutality of the deaths was pretty cool, and the comedy was pretty goofy and lighthearted, but combined it didn't work for me.

as soon as i saw the 2 white kids, i instantly knew that these annoying bastards will be immune to death, i knew it and it was true.

why cant they introduce some fake main characters and then scrap them mid movie, be original yo.

*spoilers*

Wasn't bad, the only thing that really irked me is that the "solution" was to let a fucking T-Rex loose. The main dino dies, and now they've got a fucking T-Rex running loose, and everyones just acting like "problem solved! roll credits".

Agreed 100%

Came back and seen it. Theater was rammed. As soon as I saw kids and families all lined up, I prepared myself to expect this to be a kids/family movie and nothing too gritty.

And despite alot of cringey dialogue and cheesiness it didnt get to me because of what I had expected. But it was by far the worst part of the film, the acting wasnt the greatest and at one point it got annoying seeing blue and orange almost every shot.

I felt the hybrid could've had a much more impact, at times CGI was and wasnt noticeable. The original theme gave nostalgia feels but overall the movie didnt give me the adventure suspense thrill jurassic park 1 did.

Starlord I felt didnt fit in this universe, compared to sam mcneill. Someone mentioned brolin wouldve been a better fit as well as charlie theron in replacement for aunt redhead and while I agree perhaps maybe starlord was better fit for this since its been dubbed down to a kids/family so movie.

The end felt like godzilla. Dino vs Dino(s)

Its an ok movie, but definately a decent family film. 6/10
