JURASSIC WORLD Unstoppable Friday for $181M-$200M Debut

There's nothing prehistoric about Universal's Jurassic World. Jurassic World devoured everything in its path at the Friday box office for a projected North American opening of $181 million-$200 million

I usually agree with DragonLords reviews but I think a 6.5 is a little bit low (at least on this scale).

6.5? You're tripping bro. The movie is pretty decent and was hella entertaining (for what it was).

As I said a few pages back, the 6.5 is a preliminary rating with a possibility of a 7 after it settles. The human characters just ruined it for me. Overall, I liked the film, just not that much.

thought it was pretty good! just the same amount of style as JP1, however parts of the CGI hit me in the fake feels compared to the first one.

Yeah I didn't think the movie would do this good. The hype was very meh going into it

I saw it last night at 10:15 and it was sold out and a long ass line started around 9:30. I was pretty damn surprised as I can't recall the last time I saw a movie that packed. I watched Avengers Age of Ultron around the same time and it wasn't as packed at the same theater

It was an entertaining movie.

just seen it,and i got to say, this is my top movie so far this season.it takes a great big dinosaur crap on mad max and AOG. it has giant dinosaurs eating each other and the people,it has a huge fight at the end, what more do you need? my only critique would be,not enough dinosaurs, but that may just be me. the kids loved it too.

Thing about a movie like this it has universal appeal much more so than Avengers. JW will have everyone come out to see it. Dinosaurs man, everyone loves them.

and this film cements bd wong as the go to guy when you want an evil genius asian.

Just got out of it. It was a lot of fun, the last third of the movie was an incredible ride. Enough fan service without going overboard and definitely envoked a feeling of the first one at times.

I seem to be an odd one out for my like of The Lost World, but I thought this was definitely a worthy successor in the series and would place it behind the first but on par with the second, at least.

And fuck yeah, retconning that bullshit Spinosaurus ending the Rex like that. Sweet, sweet redemption.

When I saw the I Rex would not go down with weapons I knew the only thing that could take it was the Mososaur.

I thought it was pretty bad. Didn't really give a shit what happened to anyone.

The ending reminded me of Fast 5 Dominic Toretto and The Rock. The rock was the T-Rex and the Raptor was Dom.

This movie blew. When Jake Johnson is the best part of a dinosaur movie something is wrong.

I can't believe how dumb this movie was. Yeah, the trailers told me, but still.

Pretty safe to say a sequel is a LOCK at this point. Chris Pratt is $$$$$$$

Unfortunately this will be the case. But this is the PERFECT ending to the franchise. The dream was realized and the park opened. I don't want BD Wong selling the dino DNA to the Russians, Chinese or some Bond-esque evil genius who will weaponize them and use them in war or what have you. And I certainly don't want Dino-Human hybrids or anything like that (which was possibly hinted at).

But the money will be too much to turn down and I don't know where else they could go with the Park as it's all been done now.

Hmm... does anyone else think this could be a perfect segway into a Dino Crisis game/movie?
