Meh, I liked it. And of the films I’ve watched from the past year, it stood out as one of the good ones.

The movie was good. But it was definitely overrated, in my opinion, because it made sjw critics cream their pants thinking the film is some sort of social commentary on how blacks live in fear of whites in America. They missed the whole point of the movie though. It's not the outwardly racists that blacks should fear. It's the sjw whites who are proud Obama voters that blacks should really fear.

I believe it was well shot. For a debut film, it was very well done. The social commentary is something that's getting exhausting for someone of my age and appearance, which took away from the movie for me. I get the message that's being put across, but I just don't know if it really does any good other than antagonizing people and creating bigger divides.

I liked it and I've been able to enjoy rewatching it when it pops up on HBO. I don't find too many movies nowadays with replay value so I guess it's even better than I first thought.

The movie isn't overrated. It's value as a matter of insightful social commentary certainly is.

If it were a well-dressed pretty black woman, and a well-dressed athletic white man covered in blood at the end of the movie, we would have been just as worried that the cop car would be unfriendly and absent understanding. That's what's so cheap, and that is supposed to be the defining exposition/"thought" of the film.
