I get what you are putting down. It's not like I wrote it out, I copied and paste it from the nasa site so that's literally verbatim from there site.You can measure only the surface speed in mph ar the great circle (equator) at a specific height (surface level), cuz a different latitude or even a different height at the same latitude (say a mountain vs a valley or anything under the surface) would be moving at different mph, so a spin would normally be measured in RPMs
