You can measure only the surface speed in mph ar the great circle (equator) at a specific height (surface level), cuz a different latitude or even a different height at the same latitude (say a mountain vs a valley or anything under the surface) would be moving at different mph, so a spin would normally be measured in RPMs

9/11 bullshit? Comon, think about it. If you add 9 to 11, then divide those 360 degrees by 120 to get 3, then add that to your 9+11, you get

I get what you are putting down. It's not like I wrote it out, I copied and paste it from the nasa site so that's literally verbatim from there site.

It's been fun as always Mohawk

Man, this response had me audibly laughing so hard that I’ve gotta share this with Craig from “Fight the Flat Earth.”
Cheers, Sherbro; it’s posters like you that keep me coming back to this god forsaken forum!

Things don’t spin in MPH. That 1070 mph is a tangential speed at the equator. You say a lot of words but they are as hollow as your skull.
Are you just kidding around or are you making a semantic or some other subtle point that I'm missing? From Space.com:

“If you estimate that a day is 24 hours long, you divide the circumference by the length of the day. This produces a speed at the equator of about 1,037 mph (1,670 km/h).”

The same article also says:
“You won't be moving quite as fast at other latitudes, however.”
https://www.space.com/33527-how-fast-is-earth-moving.html

What's the mistake that you are aiming to correct? The failure to specify that the speed originally cited is indexed to the equator?

Compaered to most conspiracy theory bro science nonsense that comes in MMA like flat earth though it is actually a legitimate discussion although there are plenty of answers besides "space isnt real" or "god did it", for the earth to be habitable it needs to be a certain distance from the sun and it also needs a large moon to keep it more stable on tis axis which cuts down the coincidence a lot. You could even argue perhaps solar eclipses are "needed" in order to drive human development, to get us interested in astronomy and though that in maths.

That is a tangential speed at the equator, at any other point that speed is different. The thing you’re missing is that things rotate in RPM. In light of this, the earth spins 1 time in 24 hours. If you don’t see the problem with Flerf’s “1070 MPH spin,” comment for shock value of those with 0 scientific understanding, then I have a bridge to sell you.

Yeah well once you start asking these kinds of questions it's time to pry that sucker open like a fresh virgin asshole and LOOK INTO IT

You’re trying to make a point using Google, but Google disagree’s with your Flat earth nonsense. Hypocritical? Obviously.
I'm using websites that you trust just to show coincidence, and you keep going on about flat earth? Does it upset you that bad that some think it flat? Get over it. Again you are stove up bro!

Taken from science.com not a flat earth thing as you like to put it..

Earth revolves around the Sun at a rate of about 67,000 miles per hour (107,000 km/hr or nearly 30 km/s). At the same time, Earth rotates around its axis at about 1,000 miles per hour (460 m/s or 1,600 km/hr).

You are just a contentious little tard

Furthermore, if there is 24hrs in a day it would have to be moving at a pace of 1000mph to have a 24 hour cycle rotation and that's not flat earth that's just truth.

Further, we know it's actually slightly faster than 1000mph due to the fact there is actually only 23hr 52 min in a day. This is reason we need leap years

Respect to Coach Kav...

sometimes ... someone has to call people brain damaged in a public forum.

But the moon looks a different size depending of the time of the month...

Johnny Walker only looks up at full moons

.... and squints at the sun until it's petite.

Books though... never seen such a thing
