That idiot Ngannou could have got the biggest pay day of his career if he'd stuck around to fight Jones. Now he's realising he doesn't have much negotiating power in the boxing world and his naive management team have screwed him over.

He would have got the biggest payday, as well as the biggest ass whooping from Jones

He is definitely the biggest star now other than Conor and he is WAY more valuable to the UFC right now. He never fought for 3 years, but he is likely to be pretty active the next 2 or 3 years, while mcgregor is probably one more beaten from retirement

Id guess 600-750k as actual number. It was a big fight and the whole card was built well so I imagine the number is good.

Getting 1 million would be incredibly impressive, especially for 2023 standards. These days, anything over 500K is pretty solid.,

I don't know about 1 million but after Conor it's either Khabib or Jones in terms of star power. A while ago maybe Nate or Masvidal would be thrown in the equation but not today.

Or Adesanya

How can anyone know?
Everybody is speculating about something nobody knows.
Ali Abdelaziz doesn’t know either. evev if Dana said that to him. You can’t trust anything Dana says.

how can fighters know for sure what the ppv numbers are?
How do they know that the company is not lying to them?
Let’s say a ppv sells a million. But they tell the fighter that the ppv did 400k.
How can a fighter know for sure? They just give him a paper with the ppv numbers? how can a fighter know if the number is reality?
Does a fighter have access to the tool that counts or the registration tool.

Ain't no fucking way. The PPVs are more expensive than ever, add to that can only be purchased once you have an ESPN+ subscription, add to that this event was really getting attention outside of the MMA bubble till a few days ago maybe.

He literally always has been the next biggest only brock Ronda Conor and gsp are bigger

Didn't Dana block the Jones Francis fight in 2020, saying that Jones wasn't enough of a draw to ask for the money he was asking for? So...he was wrong clearly. Jones is a draw.
But it doesn't fucking matter anyway because ESPN pays them a flat charge, so regardless of whether they sell or flop, they're always guaranteed a payday. Never understood why people made a big deal of draws and stuff in the ESPN era.

It makes sense, it felt like their biggest and most hyped PPV in a long time.

Would be his first ppv over a million if true.

I wonder if only Val is gonna get PPV points?
