I don't like the fight either, but this is a bit much.

Stipe's prime was in the mid to late 2010s.

Tyson's prime was the late 80s brother.

I think his retirement will hinge on what Dana says in the post fight presser. If Dana is all for the Poatan fight then to quote the pink goof himself "that'll fuckin' suck", but if he denies him Poatan and says he has to unify with Aspinall Jon will retire that same night.

As for the fight itself. I think if Stipe is even 70%, of what he was in 2018-19 it will be a much harder fight than Gane was, but I do ultimately see him losing. My fear is he comes in a totally washed old man and Jon just annihilates him, proving this fight has been a farce this whole time.

Oops sorry, i was referring to Stipe, not Jon.
 
I'm pretty sure Aspinwall called him worse. Or if he did there would be no comment from Jones

Classic bully behaviour - he can hit back against the guy that he sees as easy prey, but doesn't want to acknowledge the guy that he doesn't have a chance against.
The last thing he wants to do is get into a war of words with Aspinall - he may have to back it up.
 
seems like Jones is overconfident after his win against Gane.
HW is different and actually I don't see a way for Jones to beat Miocic here.
my only concern is shape of Miocic.
I am not sure if he only accept this fight to get paid one last time
 
I know it's popular to shit on this fight, but the odds are absolutely bonkers. Massive value on Stipe atm. It's like everyone forgot who Stipe is because of all the media narratives.


Jon needs to get him down but it's not going to be that easy. Jon could finish this from top control, but that boxing and size could really cause trouble.

+500 for Stipe is insane
 
If Jones beats the piss out of stipe, it won't be impressive. It'll just be sad.

And worse if he puts on a stunning performances, then doesn't fight Aspinall it just makes it look bad.

Jon sounds drunk off his ass here. I wonder how much booze he's put away this past weekend, and how many days he'll be on the wagon before fight night (if any). This could be a real factor.
