Jon Jones Likely Has Nothing For Ciryl Gane

Jon’s chances against Gane are bigger than against Francis imo. Everything depends on which Bones will show up. Hw Jones is a mystery.

There's multiple Jon Jones ? Or you just stupid

Wait, so you are saying that Gane is stupid and has zero fight IQ? Gane still thinks he is fighting MT?

you think defending takedowns was one of the focuses of the ngannou camp lol

obviously gane has a very high fight IQ my point is his tdd will be much better here when it’s one of the main focuses of his camp

You were at the Gane camp? You know that Gane prepared for a UFC MMA title fight by ignoring TDD?
If so, you are saying Gane is stupid.
If not, you are saying you are stupid.

Hmm. Toughie.

I totally agree. Those who disagree seem to be in some alternate universe where they think Jones is still in his prime, when he is many years past it by now. He will look like Shogun did when Jones fought Shogun.....

I think it has to do with them being nostalgic about the "good old days", ten plus years ago when Jon was a young champion, and not a nearly 36 year old man who hasn't fought in three years.

This is an older and fatter version of Jones nothing more. Gane with his speed, footwork, and heavy hands is likely going to dance circles around Jones before knocking him out; likely before the end of the third round.

If someone wants to argue that Gane beats Jones, even decisively, that's fine...but it seems silly to believe that Jones 'likely has nothing' for him.

I would not put too much stock into Jones' last couple of performances at LHW or the 'ring rust' beliefs. A chance at the HW belt suggests that we can expect a very motivated and focused Jon Jones who is not going to underestimate his opponent. He is also not old for HW, has taken the time to put on size properly and adapt to it, and hasn't been taking damage in the cage for a while. I think we are much more likely to see a rejuvenated Jones than one hampered by the time off and the weight class change.

This is a true 'legacy' moment for Jones and I think he will rise to the occasion (although I certainly would not cry if Gane takes him out).
That's very good argument, still think Gane takes it easily though. Lol

The cope from Jones haters is wild

first it’s he’ll never go to heavyweight

then it’s if he does go to heavyweight, he’ll pick an easy fight

Jon comes back to take on the #1 ranked, in their prime heavyweight and now the next narratives are 1. He’s not going to show up 2. He’s going to lose badly

the haters will be proven wrong once again

jones bless
YOu know Gane was never that good if Jones wins

Infact HW was, Jones was actually ducking LHW

Only 1 year ago Ciryl Gane fought and lost against a man that came into the cage partially crippled with 2 blown out knees and still Gane couldn't stop being taken down and held down. Even though I hate Jon Jones he's a going to easily take Gane down and smash him. You can't have 0 wrestling and TDD and think you are going to be great at TDD in 1 years time it just doesn't happen.

Gane also took Frank down. Frank was working with Usman on his wrestling for his camp and to be fair, it's probably going to be hard to stop a 275lb man taking you down if he wants to. It was an extremely close fight. It was honestly pretty boring but the drama of Francis being injured made it exciting. If it wasn't for the final takedown and control time, it very well could have been Gane's fight.

This is gonna look like Izzy vs Alex.
Love GOAT Jones but he's gonna have to be perfect for 5 rounds.

exactly, people ignored that a 5th round exhausted gane could actually dropped down a 280lbs ngannou, people are really ignoring this fact

Most.* or at least, everyone with eyes.
And DQ's are legitimate losses.

Matter of fact, I find there to even be argument he should have lost to Hamill AND Reyes. But there's zero argument he's undefeated in both

Jones fanboys like to have it both ways.

We have to ignore the loss on his record because it was "illegitimate" but have to respect the incompetent judging from his last fight.

The DQ from a dominating position doesn't really seem like a loss. I actually scored the Gus fight against him, but that also doesn't really make it seem like a real loss.

Hey man if you want to celebrate his DQ loss, go nuts. Dance like nobody is watching.

Absolutely, must have been a difficult one to set the betting lines on. The Jones that beat DC I'd favour easily over Gane, the one that beat OSP I'm not sure, we'll see anyway.
