Modus Operandi is still my favorite vid, practically changed my life, and The Reason is a very close second. The editing was brilliant, a giant leap from stuff like Welcome to Hell and Misled Youth, just a few years earlier (even though those are probably both top 10 for me). I was never any good at skating, one of the few hobbies I've ever had at which I flat out failed. But the culture has always been integral to my existence, and from around 97 or so I've never been too far from it. Beautiful art

Relative to my skill, you're Geoff Rowley lmao. I'd essentially get so frustrated I'd just let everyone else skate while I smoked weed and talked music. But I always enjoyed going to comps and filming my friends. The skate vids really made me aspire to get into video editing, but I never really did, couldn't afford decent equipment. Got a ton of dwindling inspiration from being a part of the crowd and culture.
